....or have forgotten! .....or wish you'd forgotten. ......or had no right wearing the shirt. .......or for some other obscure negative reason!
My misfits are (in keeping with the 4-3-3 system that never worked yet was persisted with):
Michael Poke.
Carl Regan. Garry Kenneth. Jerel Ifil. Danny Coles.
Wayne Brown. JJ O'Toole. Liam Lawrence.
🐍 Zebrowski. TN.
Subs.. Conor Gough.
Broghammer. Reggie Lambe. Jean-Paul Kalala.
Derek Riordan. Oumare Tounkara. Rene Howe.
Tbh, what a f*ckin decade we've had to put up with!?

Bit harsh on Wayne Brown and Broghammer IMHO. But especially Tounkara - who scored 2 at Daggers and looked like a world beater. 2 goals from 9 starts. If Tom Nichols had that strike rate he'd have scored over 20 goals for us by now...

Andy bloody Bond, Luther Blisset and that bloody city player who then scored loads at Barnet. I don’t want to remember his name.

Tom Nichols has taken 94 (NINETY FOUR) league games to match Chris Dickson's goal tally. NINETY FOUR. NINETY FECKING FOUR.

If Tom Nichols had that strike rate he'd have scored over 20 goals for us by now... And on Lawrence too. We had him ten seasons too late when his legs had gone. Should have tried to get him at the same time as we got Disley. The two of them destroyed us when they played together for Mansfield, and he had a good career after that.

Wayne Brown never fulfilled his potential or promise with us.... maybe his inclusion was a personal thing:
Waiting for young pirates fella to show mascots around pre match, WB turned up in his gleamy shiny Merc and he wasn't even a regular! He was happy though.
Or had to show he was happy.
I met Dave Penny that night. The only member of on pitch staff whom was enthusiastic to meet true fans. A really engaging fella. Oh, apart from Joe Kuffour, who was smiling and happy to be compared to similar height as mascot!
But, WB never went on to anything better than us, scored almost as many goals as TN but can anyone remember what he done without reference to Google or YouTube?

I did a web search for Dickinson but found him, his career has taken him abroad and now back here but not a league side. I remember those first two goals and thinking we have a star here

I think Penny was very badly treated and was part of Campbellgate. The players didn’t like being told they were unfit and not up to scratch and they revolted against him. The rest is history but I do think about what he could have done, given the backing of the players. From what I hear, from yesterday’s game, BG had some awful abuse. I used to think we were better than the 82 but we are no different. It’s very bad form to be giving him such vile abuse & I hope he is one of those guys who thrive on pressure rather than wilt.
