I’m just wondering if JCH is really injured or if the club are protecting our biggest financial asset, my own view in the latter. We had no JCH , THD and I can’t help but think that, given the team & bench that were put out yesterday, are we just preparing for life without them. I know MS said no offers have been made but, if you read up on Sunderland then it would seem they have put a 600K tag on JCH. What do you guys think and given that three people have said they have talked with him and he said he would stay if we were in the top 6 but feels the club want to sell him ?

And will Nichols go to Mansfield ... new manager there rates him very highly, apparently.

It’s difficult to tell what’s going on, but, on past experience JCH is probably already sold and not being allowed to play by his agent. With regard to Nichols while metaphorically speaking pulling razor blades out of my arse to say it I thought he played well last night.

was JCH being protected earlier in the season then when he wasn't playing?
Maybe he is being sold, but surely what matters is how much we get for him

Nichols will improve between now and the end of the season, he needs a new contract somewhere.
The very best of luck to whoever takes him on.

People who claim to have spoken to him have said that he himself gets the impression the club want to sell him even though he is open to staying.
Entirely believable really. If we are looking to sell and JCH is not agitating for a move then one can only conclude that we are going to low ball ourselves again and accept the first offer in the first week of Jan just to able to keep the lights on.
I wish they would just get on and sell the bloody club. But of course wishing can’t just make it so, there has to be a buyer and the buyer has to pay the asking price and it sounds like right now both of those requirements are not in place.

JCH hasn't looked match fit by his standards for ages, seems to huff and puff his way through games and lacks that turn of speed he had when he first arrived, so yes, he could well be carrying an injury that he can't shake off.

The average fan ?...mid to late 50s men who have failed to come to many home games this season and who have now taken out a BT Sport subscription and has lost all hope of ever playing Bristol City again in a league fixture.

What I want to know is whether or not we can at last afford to pay our owners the interest they are due on the loans they've generously made to the club and can the London office be opened again.

If that's the average fan then I'll take your word for it.

Not many give a toss about that Bamber so I don't think that is the average fans concern. Poor old Swissgas gets torn apart by the kids on the other forum when he poses educated questions.

As I've been saying for longer than I can remember, these forums are insular, they reach a tiny audience, the owners will probably have them monitored just to get a feel for general mood, but other clubs have shown how proper use of social media can gain proper traction and affect change.

We know that THD has injury problems - otherwise he would be playing at a higher level than League 1. JCH has already had two previous spells in the treatment room this season - 3 if you include the current period.
I'm struggling to believe that anyone would choose not to play a star striker that was fit and I'm more inclined to think that both are 'thoroughbreads' with a tendency to injury.

I think he's injured. Again.
Protection from what? Another injury? It would only serve us in medium term if that was the case. Ok we make a few more quid.
As much as JCH is the most expensive player to buy individually, the true expensive value is in Jaak, Rollin, Alfie and the absent Tom Davies (who?).
There is a difference between price and value..

Yeah, all Gasheads are rubbish and should support 1982. Come on, Kegan. Poor old Swissgas gets torn apart by the kids on the other forum when he poses educated questions. I don't know why educated persons bother with 'the other forum'. Yes, I'm looking at you, Oldie, Parker, KP...

I think it’s obvious speculation or I wouldn’t have posed the question. I know there are posters here who know much more than me
