You just had to be at the Blue Diamond lunch the other day when Coughlan was the guest speaker to realise everything was not right. He told everyone that he had to sell 4 players in January and there were no replacements.

Depends on which players I suppose but it will be those commanding a fee that goes some way to covering the current losses, after all, promotion at this early stage would be disastrous for our evolutionary plan.

Must be quite a few contracts up in the Summer so no fees in Jan but a chance to lower budget in summer.
Sell two young defenders on lowish wages with nothing in reserve cant end well.

If this is true it's a total failure on the part of the club's owners.
This isn't a squad put together with an open cheque book, they have their PL standard marketing bloke that Wael was boasting about, the support base is there, 4th in the division, if they need to sell from this position then they won't ever be able to run a club at break even at this level.

I have no doubt our board have absolutely zero interest in anything other than their own pockets, but it is very unhelpful when people post what is often referred to as 'fake news' these days it is very unhelpful. I may well lead a campaign to ban the term 'fake news' and have it replaced by the original term 'lies'. |
