Joe Dunne is surely a favourite contender. He knows the squad, he knows the shenanigans of the board, he has been a manager before and best of all for the board he is a cheap option; also it would p$ss our new snake Coughlan off as apparently he wants him at Mansfield (though that is changing.) I'm with you on this. If he's going to Mansfield then why hasn't he gone already? Its not as if he owes Rovers any loyalty as he's only been here for 5 minutes. If he does a good job as caretaker then why not put him in - after all we've promoted from within with the last two appointments and they were both a success. Also we seem to have a very good back room team so why rock the boat by bringing in a new man with all the hangers-on they generally want to bring in. It does seem curious that he's not in the betting though. Surely he's not ruled himself out - he's far more experienced as a league manager than DC and GC were when they took on the roles and he must be hoping for another managerial post. Or perhaps No.2 at Mansfield is a better job than No.1 at Rovers? Well what the hell do I know. It's confirmed that Dunne has been given permission to speak to Mansfield. Clearly he wanted to make me look like an arse. I hate him.

Maybe we're planning to go back to the early 20th Century with our strategy and have no manager at all.....

What sort of situation 3 games in 8 days each with a different manager. 3 managers in a week has to be a record?

Ben Garner is the current odds-on favourite according to Sky Bet. I don't know much about him, but bizarrely, his wiki says he was Rickie Lambert's "ideal candidate" to take over at Rovers after DC left...

Another self publicist with very little credibility other than acquaintances and profile name association, right up the street of the deluded influence in control of the club. Check is social media, if his c--k were big enough he would f--k himself

Ben Garner is a free agent no longer working for Crystal Palace a talented coach who needs an opportunity. Will Wael be tempted ?

Maher off to sunny Mansfield too I presume ..Garner taking over Boxing Day (then Hargreaves at Fleetwood) followed by Mansell on New Years day ...sky bet odds 250 -1 must be worth a fiver !
