Your maths is as bad as mine! Nope. 1968 final, if you were 7, makes you born in 1961. They made the final in 1970, so 1963 (Still older, just.) 2 lots of semi finals after wasn't it? Anyway, since when was this a Celtic site? π Just agree that Iβm younger than both of you!

I wouldn't worry about it, things can get a bit confusing when you get to a certain age

There are a fair few who go to the old firm games, from Rovers. Do you know how this started please as Iβm interested in it ? i used to see Steve ( Shirley) in the Polish club, long before I knew him at Rovers & there were a fair few second gen Polish who went to the games too. I have seen flags , of both, at the mem. I just donβt know how you guys got into it Thanks in advance Generally speaking it's Scottish/Irish backgrounds. In my case , we were the only branch of the family in Bristol , my dad had no real interest in football, but when one of us his brothers who lived in Montreal visited us (the only time I met him) and he found out I loved football, he told me that Celtic were 'our' team, I would have been around 7 years old at the time and Celtic had just lost in the European Cup final so I think it just stuck in my head. See how easy it is to indoctrinate kids! I was told that, as a good catholic lad, I should follow Celtic but it just never interested me. There are a fair few who gather to watch old firm games. Do they play each other more than twice in a season ?

It depends how bankrupt that outfit from Edmiston Drive are, sometimes they get a bit relegated and end up in the Highlands Leagues.

I am glad that this pointless thread has become even more so with posts about Celtic, people's ages etc, well done Crater for trying to get back to the subject.
OS: The Rovers boss has shortlisted for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award [unpopular with some, maybe] for November.
Graham Coughlan guided his team to wins on the road in November, picking up maximum points at both Rochdale and Shrewsbury.
The Gas' schedule in November was heavy with cup fixtures [we are still in both], but six points from Rovers' only two league games resulted in six goals being scored in the process.

Quod Erat Demonstrandum Pretty much any thread is pointless isn't it? All of it is really just a few people with a common interest chatting bollocks and going off on a tangent, pretty much like any conversation people used to have when going to the pub was a popular pastime. I do know that this particular forum seems to have come to life in the past few weeks, with more people going off on tangents and more people talking more bollocks than usual. It is a much better place for it

I am disappointed seeing a new post a 'good' poster has posted, but when I scroll down I find it's inconsequential stuff of no interest to me. There's the pm system or perhaps we could have a separate section of the forum for 'banter'. The forum has got busier as there was the possibility of it closing.

Jesus, nobody is causing any harm. Scroll on by if you don't like it, or report it if it's offensive.
Rex, I'm off to read your original post and will only ever comment again when Igitur deigns it relevant.
Merry f***ing Christmas.

Quod Erat Demonstrandum That's second month this season already GC has in nomination. Still not good enough for some. I don't think he'll win it though, KJ has 5 wins and a draw, so I'm guessing his elevated Pompey side will be favourites....?.....and there's a vociferous KJ out culture down there too. I guess there's nowt as strange as folk, eh?

Please don't take my comments in any personal or bah humbuggy way or a desire to edit or censor postings, it's just that when I see that there is a new comment on a thread I am interested in on the opening page I am disappointed to find it to be irrelevant to the subject. That's all I've got to say about that as we are off subject.......apart from Happy Christmas to all.
