Vis-a vis the partial ground closure on Sunday, I would be interested to know what the estimated savings were . Does anyone know who to ask or how to find out?

Vis-a vis the partial ground closure on Sunday, I would be interested to know what the estimated savings were . Does anyone know who to ask or how to find out? Savings would have been minimal surely? Orange jacketed stewards were stood on the West enclosure terracing and dotted along the west side anyhow. We usually stand in the West enclosure and opted for the East enclosure yesterday. A young lad with us went for some food about 10 minutes before half time. He said he managed to get the last sausage roll and that there appeared to be limited options for hot food. I appreciate that there certain things under H&S that necessitate numbers of stewards etc. As for not being able to buy a ticket up to the usual deadline, I don't know who actually decides this. IMO it was a short sighted decision to close the whole of the west side (apart from the West stand seats). As far as I'm aware there hasn't been any clear explanation as to why the club thought was necessary?

The game was made all ticket last week. Maybe the Police asked for this given Muff had virtually sold their allocation. That would explain the ticket situation.
Closing part of the ground, did it make much difference to the attendance?

Given that the ticket prices were low , we get £12000 for playing Sunday but only half the net gate receipts not much incentive to add a couple of 100 to the gate.
The prize winner funds are much more interesting so bigger questions should be around, why cant we win these games, and not even look like winning!

There is no if or maybe about it, the owners are not prepared to spend anything that will not sell nor be wasted. I can’t help but see us as a club in crisis and right now. It remains to be seen if this is some sort of brinkmanship, to try to exert pressure on the mayor but I’m convinced the owners are not prepared to spend anything that they see as unnecessary and really don’t care about the club or us. I hope I am proven wrong but nothing that I see, leads me to believe that we are being guided by people with Rovers DNA.

The attendance of home fans was so poor it proved the clubs decision on part ground closure correct.

The attendance of home fans was so poor it proved the clubs decision on part ground closure correct. Well that's debatable. I'm genuinely interested to how much the club 'saved' by closing parts of the ground. By your logic we could close part of the ground every week.
