Utterly disrespectful to make such an announcement in this way. So glad someone else agrees. Looking of Rovers Facebook, it’s a seething pit of hatred and don’t even look at the other place. How people can delight in others misery is beyond me I don’t think there is much misery to be found here KP. He was paid handsomely considering his job has produced no quantifiable output leading me to wonder what it was that he actually did all day? I daresay he got a nice little bonus for “brokering” the take over too. All in all he has done very well out of his association with Rovers and done very well indeed in managing to eke it out this far. The misery is, as always, with the fans who, unlike Steve, are out of pocket watching s**te football in a s**te stadium with owners who are as intransigent as they come.

Oops my error,i actually meant that the dark threatening post by harry buckle reminded me of liam neeson in "taken". You know the nice guy until you mess with him routine. but once angered you risk unleashing hellish retribution.

You are history in my eyes ..Why not contribute something so we can remember you in 2020. "I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for praise I can tell you, you wont get any, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you ease off the forum and go now that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will ban you."-Admin What's all this crap?

Or is this just more foreplay? Neeson plays the good guy whose teenage daughter and best friend are kidnapped by albanian people smugglers. Thing is although neeson is a lovely guy just like harry buckle he is also a retired field agent who unleashes hell on those nasty albanian socialist human traffickers to free his daughter. He looks like a harmless middle aged man but this is deceiving. I preferred him in schindlers list myself.

Whatever people think of him, he was always courteous to me. This just smacks of spite. "with immediate effect"? He was the Chairman, not some steward. Really poor and indicative of a club that has lost its sense of class. In GC's words - "not pretty". When he came to the club he seems to be carrying some baggage from his previous role at Swansea and I was pretty sure I wasn't going to like the bloke. However, I thought he spoke sense and was courteous with it. I seem to be in a minority in liking the guy, but then, a lot of people like Boris Johnson, go figure (Ooooh, little bit of politics as Ben Elton used to say )

How classy was it that he was opposed to GC taking the job (despite the upturn in results) so he could get his mate Cottrell in the door? How classy was it of Hamer that he was trying to broker the very club which he held a directorship at, to try and regain the executive chairmanship he had lost under the present owners, and be paid at both ends for doing so. 2 wrongs dont make a right but at least do it with 20/20 vision. What on earth has that got to do with 'class' ? In his opinion, Cotterill was the best man for the job - which actually I agreed with at the time- as it happens GC got the gig and is doing a fairly god job of it and I would imagine Hamer was pleased with that.

He may have been a field agent.

Although I often referred to him as Crazy Steve (after the car-crash interview "we could be like the Wimbledon crazy gang of the 80's)... he always very courteous. He responded to all emails promptly. He never hinted at a Boardroom split. The statement on the website lacked class and that p*sses me off. Very odd that he and Starnes were effectively in the same role for well over a year and (as far as I can see) produced nothing. BTW - Polls would indicate that a lot more people like dislike Jeremy even more than Boris. That's how you figure it. UTG.

Has everyone lost their sense of humour on this thread I tried to lighten up the mood.
Simply Hamer's contract was up he is in his mid 70s and wanted to retire ..he was not shot by the FBI from the grassy knole !

Oh, and can you pick up that paper, you know the one I like, it has that crossword, but not the difficult one, and it gives the answer on the back page. Just kidding Harry, just kidding.
