Need a swift response to Saturday's disappointing result and on paper you'd expect three points tonight. It will probably be tighter than the form book suggests so I'll go for another 1~0 win.

Kelly and Rodman wing backs offers attacking capabilities. Nichols I presume is starting to rest the sparkier Tyler Smith for Saturday. Maybe under no-pressure for a midweek game allows him to feed big Vic who can cause some havoc to their backline. Hopefully Ollie is up for it fresh from his little break.

Gas already one down sadly!!!! Very limited attacking options for Rovers.Other than Clarke-Harris we really don't have much to offer it seems as stats will confirm. We aren't playing well at all. Three tents for stands and only three floodlight pylons working.Rag-Bag Rovers we be all-right.

FFS. And there's me being stupid enough to think we might make the play offs.

No strike power, midfield playing like they’ve never met before and defenders ball watching.
One of the grimmest 45 minutes I’ve seen at the Mem, and god knows I’ve seen a few. If StevieK gives Ollie Clarke 2 it would be generous.

Nichols subbed. He's had a shocker.Sadly our striking options are virtually nil and the failure of any meaningful recruitment in the summer may come to haunt us.

Big mistake GC playing Nichols over Smith. Bloody minded resistance won’t please the gas if this game gets worse.

Typical Rovers throughout the years.
Just when it seems like you can start to believe... they destroy your hope and optimism in just a couple of games.
I perennially ask why I keep allowing myself to dream. Dream that one day some semblance of success beyond League 1 status may happen.
It just ain't gonna happen, certainly not in my lifetime.

What a shocker and dreadful team performance. Rovers thought the game was won before kick off. Bolton deserve some credit and played well. Nichols needs to go out on loan and quickly as I think his poor performances and lack of confidence is rubbing off on the team. I'm numbed by that performance.

IMHO TN had his worst ever game tonight, literally everything he tried didn't come off, including trying to chip the ball into a completely empty net and missing the target. Give the lad a break GC, his confidence is shot and We're playing with 10 men atm. I'll let others comment on our captain. I'm sure we'll dust ourselves off and go again, so that's alright then. UTG

Hate saying it but I have maintained our league position was not indicative of the quality of the team we have. I expect us to be flirting with the bottom 6 but could be mid table if JCH stays fit, when he gets back. O Clarke needs dropping too

That was truly shocking.
For context, before tonight Bolton had sored 1 goal away all season, tonight they were unlucky to only get 2.
Start at the top, the manager. Wrong players, and he simply can't organise a midfield. He's been found out. Take away Sercombe and our main striker and there's no plan B, in fact, I'm not sure there's much of a plan A. Based on tonight he's just a total chancer who has 'lucked into' a striker in red hot form.
Nichols. Words fail me. Falls over. Misses an open goal. Falls over some more. stands still and lets the ball roll out of play. Tried to cross the ball, it went straight out of play at the near post. But the worst bit was him standing still in the wrong place shouting that someone else should mark the man he was supposed to be picking up. This guy is just mocking us.
Ollie Clarke. Bye, good luck with your career in L2 and below, because you ain't a L1 player and never will be.
Kelly. If he has any self awareness or self respect he won't turn up for training again, not sure what his level is, but it's below 5th tier.
The club should issue an apology for tonight. Get rid of Nichols before he leaves the stadium and give serious thought to the manager situation, for anybody not there, tonight was beyond disorganised, it was a complete mess from front to back from start to finish. The right team won.
