Something involving David Williams and Micky Barret. The game v Millwall at home may 8th 1984, while Millwall were 2-1 up everything was ok, then the great Mickey Barrett in his last ever home game scored two late goals, not only did all the gasheads go mad but Millwall fans in the stand went crazy and were chucking seats and anything at us below on the terraces, sweet and sour memories.

So many... Gary Smart, 1987 ... Bang! Get home! Shhhhhhh..... Mine also. Mate had just said to me "We look like we're going to get a draw here!". Then Gary struck! I was parked outside the mother-in-law's opposite the Hen & Chicken, but the atmosphere was so threatening, I walked with all the Gas being marched back across the river by the police, then sneaked back. Crap game really but the Sh**s reaction was priceless.

Rickie Lambert's thunderbolt & decider against the other lot at the Mem, just to see Basso flounder, clutching at thin air is worth living that moment again. Probably the one I’d go for as well, though the D/R match runs it close. But if we’re going for an obscure one that really stands out for me was home match in winter ‘72 or ‘73 against Halifax, when they were pretty good. Harold J scored at the Tote End. It was really foggy, almost bad enough to stop the match. Lots of fans moved forward to see more. I stayed in my place on the Tote and I could just see Harold, him and the goal and me were in a straight line and the moment he hit it I was celebrating, I knew it was in before anyone else. Brilliant, for me, being so young. Doubt if anyone else can remember it though. 😀 UTG!

I think the 5-5 Charlton game takes some beating. Followed by Sammy Igoe at Wembley - amazing how many gasheads had "sand in our eyes" at the end! younger brother broke his ankle that day on the tote end celebrating the fifth!! == 3 hours waiting for an xray in southmead!!

My obscure one - Rotherham away 20 Feb 1988 (just looked it up). We had Francis Joseph in the side and he was absolute s**te. With about 20 minutes to go Boris was brought on to replace him, this was his first game under Gerry Francis and had been out on loan to Bath and Trowbridge. All of a sudden the team was transformed and Big Dev hit a last minute equaliser to absolute limbs from the couple of hundred away fans. Those of us there knew that Gerry was going to take places.
Honourable mentions to the last game at the Old Den, Hartlepool and Lincoln away in 2007 and the Fulham play off semi in 1989.

We couldn't see the Tote End goal net through the fog (probably couldn't see much further than the half way line for quite a while) and didn't knot that Harold Jarman had scored until we heard the crowd at that end of ground, celebrating.

Carl Saunders goal at Anfield to put us one up, we made some racket that night. Last year I took my nephew to Anfield for the tour as he supports Liverpool after the Gas. As we stood at the Kop end the tour guide asked us where we were from and who we supported. When I said from Bristol he said you'll be Gasheads then and when I said we were he then started waxing lyrical about the night we came to town! He said that whilst they had had some brilliant footballing nights in European cups, he said that night was one that stuck in his mind because of the atmosphere we created. He said that as we brought a few and were singing loudly all the way through it meant they raised their voices. He said it was a brilliant night! A compliment indeed!

Remember getting there early in the afternoon for that game and going straight to the Arkells pub... We were in the pub for a good few hours drinking and singing and although we were having a good time I realised that a bloke was staring intently at me for ages... I was then a bit on guard so to speak and was waiting for him to kick off... However he never said a word but he just continued to stare at me... About an hour before kick off we left and this bloke followed us out... Again I was waiting for something to happen when suddenly he tapped me on the shoulder and said I want a word with you... What do you want I said and he replied with who the f**k is this Irene bird you keep going on about

Twas a brilliant night that one, the noise we created was awesome, but I also remember the Kop roar when they came out for the second half, still don`t think I have heard anything like that atmosphere since. And we could ticker tape with the best of them back then.

Watney cup. Blazing sunshine, all of my family and I was a babby. Running onto the pitch. Great day

To one moment in one game, and live it again, what would it be? Extra points for the obscure and interesting. Mine would be Worrel Sterling’s goal in a 4-3 comeback at home at twerton, think it was V Bradford. It was a scuffed mis*** goal, and we were never ahead until that final goal. Really stood out in my mind. I am happy to take the least points and say Browners right foot. I'll never forget the noise and the jumping and hugging and kissing and then being on the pitch and seeing so many people I knew. My happiest moment as a Rovers fan.Absolutely this. In 45 years of watching , that one moment surpasses all the others for sheer unbridled joy, the optimism around the place and the sheer emotion. A good friend of mine had died a month or so before aged just 42 and the tears were flowing when I was hugging his brother and dad during on pitch celebrations. I never thought the second of May could be topped, but that did for me. If I ever get to be so deliriously happy at a football match again, I will count myself very lucky. Seeing the joy on my sons face when Rickie made himself a hero forever and left Basso on his knees was great and at least my son (now 22 years old) did get to see us beat them , I seriously not sure if I will ever see it again, I hope he does. For an obscure one, the 88/89 play off season, away to Huddersfield midweek and we came back from 2 down to win 3-2 . I started going to games at the tail end of 73/74 promotion season so didn't really get to appreciate it and this would have been our first promotion since and on the wat home from Huddersfield I really started to believe we would go up. Of course Robbie Earle broke our hearts in the play offs, but without that, we wouldn't have had the second of May

Most of the good ones are gone already.
The celebration when we got that goal against Daggers was crazy, then from the top of the East Terrace you could see the wave go along the people on the pitch as the news came through that the Accy result had gone our way, I was surrounded by grown men who all seemed to have a tear in their eye, it was very special.
For pure technical ability, Ricky Lambert at Luton, you saw it happen but didn't quite believe it, had that been a player from a glamour club it would have been raved about all over Europe.
I do quite enjoy seeing certain clubs have things go belly up, so I could watch Windass scoring against 1982 every day of my life. Liverpool are a disgusting club with disgusting supporters, so Michael Thomas stealing the league title from them with the last kick of the 1989 season was nice as well.

Andy Rammell's winner at Oxford to keep us up and Phil Purnell winner at Newport County in 1986/87 to keep us up. We were there and right behind it, what a volley, sweet as a nut, cannot believe it was 16 years ago, AR played 12 games and scored 6 great goals, a legend.

Beating top division side newcastle united in the league cup around 1972 under floodlights at a packed eastville stadium. I was 13 and everything seemed possible at the time for rovers in my mind.
