Agogo MtM for me. Had a great game. This 5-3-2 formation keeps the ball moving and the game flowing. Highly enjoyable to watch. Hare has a sublime cross on him.

Taylor did nothing for 25 mins, other than somehow avoid a red card for a blatant elbow, then bottled it, pretended to be injured so that he could get off the pitch with his team ahead.
Love the banter, hate the chant about having a party when Taylor is dead, we are supposed to be better than that I thought?
Great goal by Nichols, set up by the hopeless Ollie (Steve was probably looking away when he did that), so that's the scoring done for the season, he can take it easy now.

TomWFC92 3m Trouble is if we don’t put the ball in the onion bag we could be in the same position as Bristol rovers last season after 10-12 games, then what?
TAKEN FROM the Saddlers forum!!! [some were anticpating the 3-0 defeat on Wednesday !!]

Good team performance and 3 good goals. Muscle injury for taylor and since he left rovers he has been injury prone. Josh hare looks a real find for rovers.

On ifollow the camera zoomed in on Taylor when he was sat on the deck, looked like one of the Rovers players might have given his plums a squeezing, deffo a crotch problem.

IT IS the season for plum picking you know... just knowing what ones are ripest.. some need a firmer squeeze that others

I think it's an opportunity to beat them as they've lost their last 2 games to teams beginning with B, conceding 6 goals. Woodburn is one to watch as an international but having the midfield 3 we had Tuesday should snuff out the central attacks. Let's be classy for Agogo but somehow I doubt it will be. 3-1 ever the optimist Well done, you picked out the Oxford scorer and got the score right, any thoughts for Brighton in the EFL Cup on Tuesday..?

Old man Cocko had a farm, with a nudge nudge here, push push there, here a knock, there a nock, everywhere a nock nock. We got tight to them, we got physical with them, we killed the interesting expansive game of passing football Oxford wanted to play.
I loved every minute of it.
It was a team performance, but Ed got the man of match ahead of bunny on the basis of a crucial goal. Bunny was good. Even Leahy played well. I thought Nichols was poor when he came on, he chased nothing tackled no one and didn’t even hold the ball up to relieve pressure.
Football these days isn’t about that tight narrow midfield, it’s using width and length of pitch, but the basics of building a platform with physicality and organisation remains. Our wing backs pressed space when out of possession, we were okay there, but the midfield didn’t get a foot on it in the latter stages particularly and all they way through to extent, and that’s where we were weak today.
Would we have won that match 12 months ago? In some regards Cocko has been given a hospital pass by the previous manager (Nichols, Mensah, perhaps Matthews) and a hospital pass by the board (65K loss each week and they want to eradicate that anyhow) but he’s made us difficult to play against, and there’s even signs the ability to win games from that platform is coming. Let’s get behind him, and this youngish group of triers.

''there’s even signs the ability to win games from that platform is coming.'' I guess you base that genius assertion on the fact that we have won the last 2 games?

Pure luck, but thank you. Seriously though, I watched Quest and Oxford were awful v Burton. We were very good v Tranmere and our formation change worked. I don't think Brighton will play full strength, so 2-0 to us as I think we will. Note same starting 11 today. Sercs or Little will not get back in until an injury or suspension. That's the GC style from last season which I liked. The shirt is yours to lose

Just got back!
What a lovely day v Oxford. Pre match anticipation, weather as hot as hell, seen friends not seen for a while, and 10.34am first beer on board......oh, and a Gas win! What's not to like?
Ok..... what happened to the last two thirds of the match? Most folk are cleverer than me, so please explain?
Up to around 35 mins we were being over run in midfield, defending looked shaky, not making our passes....?.....I couldn't make out anything tactically changed, but sometime after snake went off we seemed to click and looked so threatening and solid we rode out the day easy winners.
Upson m o m by a small distance, his fabulously taken goal had alot to do with it, but just his engine and endeavour. Didn't like his foul in their number 11 (for me, their m o m excellent mid performance), deserved booking.
Closely behind, Abu had a stormer of performance too. Broke up play, spread the ball, made easy passes.
Ollie contributed too.... excellent run to set up Nichols (I've always liked him!), but Oxford will be disappointed as I would be if it happened to us about their poor defending with that goal and JCH, who just outjumped their defender to score faximily of a goal from Tues night.
I thought Josh Hare had a brilliant game. Another excellent assist, this time cutting ball in on his wrong foot! (?) This fella was non league recently. Looking like a great recruit, and what a problem for GC when Little gets fit?
Similarly, Leahy got forward well and provided some dangerous moves on the other flank. So unlucky with his bullet header disallowed.
What's going on, things going well?
Again, I like the balance and partnership of JCH and Tyler..... they work the defenders and seem to have understanding.
Fella said before match difficult game and Snakey might score.....yes possibly, but we have resurgent Tom Davies, no one f*cks with Craig and massive Alfie. Ok he got his chance early doors and surprise surprise fluffed his lines (dirty pun for another ex player) as so often he did, Snake needs a few chances before scoring. But am afraid he was lucky not to be sent off for off ball with Alfie. Maybe feigned injury? For me he got all the verbals he deserves..... funny how some whom view the abuse players/managers got at Cov was out of order, yet can't see the same gusto when it comes to Snake? Abuse is abuse and is wrong full stop.... isn't it?.... apparently not, to some it's just..............banter!
FFS!?
Well, admit I got prediction wrong pre match.... I'm liking our set up at home last two matches. Not sure it will work away.
Fair play GC, nailed it again. We took no nonsense today and our mid commanded most the match. You'll always remember where you were when Nichols scored....... that's his one for the season, well done son, how sh!t must you be? You let Nichols score...

We dont have masses of flair, but much like Tuesday thought we played some decent stuff at times.
Great finish by Ed, another good cross from Hare put away by JCH and a nice finish from Tom.
Alfie looks like he has played more than a handful of games.
In thise conditions which were bad enough to just stand in, a great effort from all the lads

Ed is a revelation in 5-3-2. Mint the last two games. He was superb, Ogogo ditto and Captain Clarke too. Not sure anyone had a bad game, but still a bit concerned about our goalkeeping situation.
As for Coughlan, he's right, his family deserve to be left alone. Completely out of order.
