You'll be waiting a long time Annie! ☠ It's got to happen one day - just hope it's on the positive side when it does! The forum dies when we all agree

We looked solid in first half against tranmere had territory, but didn’t play much football. Trannys didn’t have a look in, so for them to go in ahead would have been harsh, us ahead or level fair enough. Mellon clearly gave them the hair dryer and sent them out early, but just as it looked like they were more on it they done for themselves with some silly reds. 9 against 11 became more of an open game, what possession we had we just passed harmlessly about, is nervous psychologically understandably acceptable when trying to get first win of season over line? Hare and Tyler stood out, as did Upson asked not to be Mikelele but Winks he had a better game as did oh go-go behind him. JCH looked knackered after 60, when managers go on about needing a pre season and match fitness the proof was there in front our eyes. Off the pitch other steps in the right direction. Only squeezing rovers line up on screen not both teams meant I could read some of it, maybe fact sun had gone down also helped. But darkness made the intrusive electronic advertising even more intrusive. Especially the Carabao one*. First thing I will do when I buy the club is take down the electronic hoarding and store it in the garage. Bring on Snake Day. *I can share some interesting knowledge about Carabao. Do you know who owns Carabao? Fu Manchu. I know what you are going to say “I thought Fu Manchu a fictional archetype of the evil criminal genius and mad scientist introduced in a series of novels by British author Sax Rohmer during the first half of the twentieth century and played by Christopher Lee in the late sixties when Hammer could get away with such things.” But that’s what he wants you think. So when it comes up in a pub quiz, theres your answer.

''We play with artificial width going forward'' Top 3 nonsense of all time. Up there with 'transition' and 'footie' On the Leahy debate, some good marks for him for hugging the touchline being available and spending time in their box. Marks off for some poor passing and horrid miss when he should have put the game to bed. You cant just put any fullback wide call them a wing back and get a wing back, wing back has particular winger qualities, THD is a wing back, a 5 3 2 play very different football with wing backs with wing back skills, its effectively 3 5 2 with wingers. I would argue same formation with bennet and rodman as wingbacks would be closer to 3 5 2 wingback than what we played. If the spare man you have is one of the three centre backs probably because the opponents have 1 striker ploughing lone furrow, what helps 5 3 2 is one of the CB with skill to step up and use the space to play forward passes, perhaps switching play. Do we have anyone with such libero skills or given theinstruction? Otherwise you are effectively lining up at home against someone 442 think will finish 5th bottom with 5 defenders and 2 holding midfielders.

''We play with artificial width going forward'' Top 3 nonsense of all time. Up there with 'transition' and 'footie' Yep. As in no wingers. And why you see more often than not, a cut inside. Hence why we are sometimes easy to defend against. With bone fide wingers, you usually have a naturally preferred side of pitch, with taking on full backs and most importantly, pace. Maybe a shot in the locker too. I don't think we have this with Hare and Leahy, but they offer something similar. Comprende?

Exactly my point last weekend. 5-3-2 is more with full backs, 3-5-2 is with wingers I would say, but they both become 3-3-4 when we have the ball which causes the opposition problems. We have a spare man at the back wasted with 4 at the back because the full backs are looking over their shoulder. They can be bolder with 5-3-2 as there's bodies ahead and behind.

I’m very sorry to hear this. Is there anything that could help you go ? Oh don't worry, nothing major. Just a shortage of time and money. Damned government making me wait for my pension - Thank god it’s not life threatening or limiting.

I knew that's what was in your mind. No, I'm fine thank you. Just need more hours in a day and more days in a week. (And a less addled brain - that way I might manage to click 'quote' instead of 'like' )
