Just woken up and listened to the managers post match interview, one word to describe it, bizarre ! It's now emerging why he has never been given the opportunity before, not good enough and an emotional hot head. Never mind we still have another two years of him under contact, should be long enough to get us out of at least two Divisions.

Darrell Clarkes first 13 games also saw us win only 2 matches, one against Telford United. Like GC is having to contend with now, he also had to put up with some fans calling for his head after 13 games. Still, at least he used to go down the pub with the lads and sing nasty songs about City. |

Feels exactly like last season, only the manager isn't as experienced and the squad is worse. Clarke's team was much worse to watch than this last season with his static gravedigger football. This bloke's got 'em moving a bit at least. Even Craig's gone on a couple of runs through the middle (maybe that's why he was dropped yesterday). Kilgour didn't put a foot wrong on his debut, but Davis is a wee bit shaky imo. Our goalie looks solid enough. He should cut out those flying punches though. Lucky for him it worked this time. Our forwards huffed and puffed trying to carve out something but were wearing lead boots as the service wasn't there. Bennet and Sercombe tend to go sideways and backwards where there is a definite lack of forwards. Someone should point them in the right direction. In his post match interview Coughlan said he should maybe drop the gung-ho football. If that is gung-ho football I dread to see what his defensive line-up is like. |

However his win record in his first 13 games is the same as Darrell's and in a league 2 divisions higher, so I would certainly be cutting the bloke some slack. |

I don't get how GC can forget what worked last season I thought GC was bang on last season. He said he would stop us going down but it wouldn't be pretty and he was right on both counts. GC was definitely the right man at the right time, he kept it simple and got everyone doing their individual jobs. Lines would always have been my first name on the team sheet, but GC dropped him and was proved right to do so, so it just goes to shoe how little I (and many others) know. I actually kind of get what GC said about being too 'gung ho', I do think was trying to be more attacking at times yesterday (stop laughing at the back) but it palpably wasn't working. I don't know what the answer is, but I do know pissed up blokes hurling abuse at our own players when they spent more time in the bar downstairs rather than actually watching the game, isn't it. |

Thing is, whilst I agree with Rex, have to acknowledge everyone is entitled to their opinion, especially if they travel and pay their admittance fee.
Maybe hurling abuse isn't the answer, but how else do you vent frustration when you've seen an unacceptable performance, it appears the players don't care, the management don't seem to publicly address the situation, and you've paid cash for the watching privilege?

In a roundabout way, everyone seems to agree.

I don't think there was a lack of effort yesterday. A lack of skill and guile maybe, but those players did not deserve the reception they got after the game and our manager didn't deserve the shouts of 'f off Paddy' from the pissed up **** who - I would hazard a guess- as never played a game of football in his life. When it comes to football, we really are supposed to be 'all in it together' and I was more disappointed in some of our fans than the performance on the pitch. |

They paid to get in and you rightly said they're entitled to their views and to express them in own way. Don't understand why anyone would be particularly narked..... it's their business isn't it? No one else's? Also neither here nor there, is the played football comment. I think GC played more football than most of us, and you're finding somewhere near 100% of disagreement with his selection/tactics/formation/post match comments. Ok, no lack of effort yesterday....most seem to not mention that as a problem, so that isn't an issue with the verbals. Ok, what should folk do to express their concerns immediately post natch, sorry match? I'll edit and say in a Eutopia, we are in it together, cool, wish was so....but unfortunately have a look at the car park on away matches at mem.....with some on loan so they're not our players, some nice new motors, some nice earning moneys, and being paid to perform as opposed to the average paying fan who stumps up his/her hard earned....some are more in it together than others. |

By the way, I often have far too much to drink at a football match and I often chat bollocks , I won't be offended if anyone points that out. |

I don't think hurling vile abuse in a crowd safely behind barriers at a small group of players is ever acceptable in any circumstance.
For me excusing that type of behaviour is beyond the pale.
