Mods- I know we are not allowed to go onto 'serious' stuff but could you just indulge on this one for a bit? Come on then Keg, what do you think REALLY happened back in 1969? I'm looking forward to your answer more than you can imagine

They were actually 9 inches tall and piloted by Aqua Marina. Little known fact. The Apollo 13 mission almost ended in disaster when the Frog Men attempted to sabotage the launch.

Nothing to do with flags waving and no stars. Do you honestly believe we had the technology back in 1969 to achieve this do me a f**kin favour. The likes of China and India still can't achieve this in 2019 where money is no object for them. Harold Jarman was bombing down the wing in those days and teasmaids (for the older generation ) were considered high tech I rest my case.

Plonking some Dude on a moon is easy. Send Thunderbird 2 up into orbit, launch some kind of space pod and Bob's your uncle. But watch out for X-2-Zero, he's a master of disguise and out to cause trouble. Of course the landings were real you fruitcake!

The ship hid on the far side of the moon whilst it was all filmed in an old brick building just off of the main road in St George. Then the splash down was done with time travel from a point in the future when the technology will exist. But as the capsule landed in the late 1960s the Prime Directive protocol was breached, so blokes in dark suites went around with pen things shining them in people's eyes so that they forgot what they had seen, but it was too late, someone had already posted the event on Twitter in 2017 and it went viral. Come on, Kegs is off on one, why are you trying to reason with him? Ask him how old the earth is and whether it's flat or an orb, that should be good for a larf.

Back in the days when people used to go to the pub every night, there would always be some mad old f**ker coming out with conspiracy theories from the JFK assassination, the moon landings and- I kid you not- that the breweries had got together and started to distribute pint glasses that were 1/8th of an inch shorter and were making absolute millions on serving us all 'short' pints. One particular bloke I knew even insisted on inspecting the glass before the barmaid pulled the pint. I genuinely think the strange times we currently live in have been- to quite a large degree- instigated by the fact that the mad old f**kers now have an audience via social media and their opinions are no longer just sniggered at by their fellow drinkers but embraced by fellow mad old f**kers! Anyway, Keg, did you used to drink in the Masons Arms in Stapleton from the early to mid 80s?

I agree that a lot of technology was basic then,I didn't see colour TV until the 1970 World Cup, however considering that the Germans were able to fire A4 rockets onto London in 1944 I wouldn't be surprised if 25 years later they (the Germans) were able to send a rocket to the Moon.

NASA landed men on the moon in 1969. They did do this: please, I am certain. To fake it would have been as difficult. To fake it would have been as expensive. However, with the rubbish technology of 1969... ...they simply couldn't have done it. I am left in a paradoxical and absurd position. I know they couldn't have done it. Yet I know they somehow did. Anybody more certain and doubtless than this, has failed to understand at all quite how ducking far the earth and moon are apart. It's literally miles and miles and miles. One degree off and you're nowhere.

Concorde, Harrier Jump Jet, Pegasus engines - we had some pretty decent technology 50 years ago.

Yes we had some half decent technology then. Every nation could fire rockets but where they ended up was anybody's guess. Firing rockets with men inside and landing somewhere with the men still in one piece was never an option back then. As I said before if India and China two of the richest countries in the world can't be asked or are unable to achieve this then something doesn't add up. All the experts say on the BBC etc the reason we haven't landed men on the moon again is due to financial restrictions. India and China don't have any restrictions they just abuse their own to keep their coffers full.
