Taken from Gasandelectricity on Gaschat. sounded like a positive event
41 actions were taken away to be looked at.
There was a man raising issues with access to and the state of the ladies toilets in the east terrace. Tom G said the changes last summer were made to improve situation of access to the club shop on the match day, and that they weren’t aware of the state of them. They’ll go away and resolve.
Someone raised the idea of having goal music as kids at away games love it. Tom G said it is now an option with revised facilities. Will poll on social media to get flavour of fans as to if to introduce it (I’ll be voting no)
Various issues raised regards safety of disabled supporters. Themes were along the lines of were making do with the facilities we have to the best of our abilities. Similar themes with match day parking.
Regards kits it will be ready mid to late July. A new sponsor has been sourced but can’t announce yet due to minor contractual ts and is. Process for new kits starts in November. Kits are made in China, sent to italy, then to us followed by printers. The home kit has arrived, waiting in away kit. Basically close to said home kit is proper quarters. Football index did very well out of our partnership, so well they wanted to move on to a bigger club.
Lots of fancy stuff regards tickets but unfortunately can’t remember the details. Want to do flexi tickets again. There will be smart phone tickets now.
Confirmed what was said by wertongas regards building in the corner and looking to refurbish it.
Someone mentioned having a cover on the south west bar - they’re going to investigate.
Catering guy spoke very well but kept mentioning being at the stadium for 70 years, not sure where that comes from. Was very patient and attentive to questions from the floor that weren’t very business savvy. Said we’ve stopped selling pasties on the cheap as people game it and try to buy them after the game when they would buy them during the match at full price.
Apparently when he started the pasties would go to a bakers off site and be cooked there and bought on site. This alarmed him so he’s bought the cooking on site and worked with piglets pies to arrange a mobile cooking centre. They now do it out of a van and have theee runners to take them to the different kiosks. It hasn’t been perfect but hoping things will improve this season with new POS systems and stick checking so they can get the pasties to the right place before they run out. Hoping to make the outlets more efficient by improving the systems the staff work under.
Lots of commentary on young pirates but don’t remember much on that.

Ball boys: pretty much all GCs vision regards getting youth to understand first team professional football better.
Young pirates: improved mascots experience vastly. Looking to offer experience to siblings as well if a Young pirate wins the experience which wasn’t allowed before.

Mr Gorringe doesn't get everything right, but he's having a go and getting more right than wrong it seems a big NO! from me to goal music though

Club's take on the forum:
The Club would like to thank the supporters who attended Thursday evening's Fan's Forum event at the Mem.
The forum allowed the opportunity for the fans who attended to raise certain points where they felt the club could improve its offering to supporters on a matchday and beyond.
The first question was in regards to travel and parking and the difficulty that supporters have getting to the Mem. This feedback was backed up by the survey which stated that over 80% of supporters travel to games via car. Not only is this method of travel not particularly environmentally friendly, but also puts additional pressure on the local travel network. To counteract this the club is looking into the possibility of introducing a bus network for home games to ease the access to the stadiums for supporters, particularly those that aren’t based in the locality of the stadium.
One of the key points raised on the night was the importance of inspiring the next generation to become Rovers fans. This is a key priority for the club and there are a number of developments afoot to improve the Young Pirates membership package for the upcoming season. If any supporters have any further suggestions on this, please contact Sophie Morgan our Young Pirates Coordinator.
Another idea discussed revolved around the food options available on a matchday. Supporters raised points around the Improving timing of the catering options to make sure there's availability of stock at the busy periods (i.e before kick-off and at half-time) and the concerns to what happens to the surplus food items. Our Head of Catering Andy Lilley explained some of his plans for the upcoming season to address these various points.
An interesting topic raised was the idea of having a fan mixing area, where both home and away supporters could visit both before and after matches. Over the course of the summer, plans are developing to create a bigger and better fanzone area with live music, bars and food concessions along with more activities for kids.
Non-match day events were also raised as a topic, with the fans on the evening suggesting that not a lot is widely known about the uses of the Memorial Stadium on non-matchdays. This area has grown substantially over the past few months following the improvements made to bar areas. If any supporters would like any more information about what is possible, please contact our Cariad Silk who oversees non-matchday events for us.
Another key point raised was over the possibility of creating a supporters directory of fans and their trades so the club can reach out should there be any requirements for extra help at the stadium but also supporters can trade amongst themselves. We will be looking into how we can make this possible.
Other points raised included the improvement of the surface on the road by the Club House bars for disabled supporters, the option of reintroducing the flexi-ticket option and the possibility of introducing goal music. The club is looking to introduce Flexi-tickets again ahead of the new season, which will come into play along with some upgrades to the ticketing website and we plan to hold a vote on goal music in due course. Options for the road are also being assessed.
Speaking about the event, Commercial Director, Tom Gorringe said, "It was really productive to be able to listen to supporters share ideas on a wide array of topics.
"A lot of the points raised were small things that would help boost the matchday experience for those visiting the Mem by a great deal.
"We will take away the full list of the points raised and coordinate with the relevant departments to make sure positive action is taken.
"Again, we would like to thank all the supporters who both completed the recent fan’s survey and those who attended Thursday's event, as the information received will allow us to build a better environment going forward. We look forward to reporting back to supporters on the updates following the feedback in the build-up to the season and continuing the conversation."
As previously communicated, these events are part of an ongoing commitment from the Club to improve dialogue with the fanbase. We will be looking to set a date for the next Fan’s Forum in the near future.
