At last it looks like we have signed a goalkeeper worthy of tying Jim eadies boots. ( GAS LEGEND ) We have not seen the Dutch keeper kick a ball for us yet bit of an early prediction to say...bear in mind we have had Nigel Martyn, Steve Phillips, Jack Bonham all outstanding keepers since Big Jim Eadie. Martyn for me the best Rovers keeper I have seen.

Check out the YouTube compilation video, sure he makes some half decent saves, but his team are losing most of the games, a couple of them by 4 goals, so let's reserve judgement at this stage.

Big Jim with a character as big as he was. Great keeper at a very good time for us. UTG!

Will Jordi replace Jims half time ciggies with a half time joint?

Brave keeper

Let's hope our new Dutchman has more success with us than Michel Kuipers. Anyone remember him?

He was scared witless ,never played before as many fans in his life and nerves got the better of him.I recall talking to him about that night when he was at brighton and he said he nearly gave up on football after that game, but he didn't and had a reasonably decent career.Just goes to show that you shouldn't judge a player on just 90 minutes

Remember him playing for Crawley against us... we got thumped 4-1 and Browner scored a goal from a completely mis-hit cross. Craig Stanley and Scott McGleish also got into an argument with the travelling support. Odd what you remember. I still have to think about what year my children were born in, but remember quite well a meaningless league fixture from 8 years ago.

It’s the one position where you can’t really hide on a football field. UTG!

Football fans seem to have a terrible habit of making their mind up about a player and sticking to that opinion come what may. I was at that Bournemouth game Kuipers played in and there is no getting away from it, he really did have a stinker. I'm sure given half a chance with us , he would have gone on to prove that he was a fairly solid keeper.

Let's hope our new Dutchman has more success with us than Michel Kuipers. Anyone remember him? I remember him very well. He was brought to the UK by an old late friend of mine from the Presidents Club, Bob Gray and we watched him make his disastrous debut at Bournemouth. After leaving us he had a tremendous career with Brighton so perhaps we learnt a lesson to be patient where players are concerned.

He’s saving his best performance for his testimonial.
