from epping gas on the matchday thread...
20man tweet suggests this may also be Lockenbauers last game for us. Not good news if true.
agree with him there. Rovers' defensive record this year speaks for itself. He's captain, an international, got a bit of pace, and reads the game excellently
I don't know how many seasons Millwall Tone has got left in him
maybe good news for Mayonnaise and Kilgour?

I see Coughlan's talking about him leaving on a free. Ouch. Presumably he's out of contract then.

Was he injured or just left out? Injured according to GC pre match. As were Bonham and THD.

Missed all this, headed straight for the pub. Where’s lockyear going? All a bit weird at rovers today. Most weird, the table out there with President and chairman to sign five years olds. Surely there is a law against that sort O thing?

Why would we agree to let him go on a free if he was still under contract? Not sure I understand what you're suggesting. Unless there were some kind of extenuating personal circumstances I guess?

Unless there were some kind of extenuating personal circumstances I guess? To reduce the wage bill or because he was no longer wanted. Usually a payment in lieu of contract is made. Possibly personal circumstances but if that’s the case they should remain so.

Looks like, according to what I’ve read tonight, he is out of contract and is able to walk way.

Extended his contract by 18 months in January 2018.no acceptable offer made to further extend it so club admit the let it run down knowing he could leave on a free.I make no comment on professionalism at the club

How the hell can the owners be thought of as businessmen if they let this happen ? It’s beyond a joke & just adds to my thoughts on the club being run into the ground. The other thing is that it came out via radio and no statement from the club. You have no need to comment on professionalism as there is none. The future looks bleak right now.

No acceptable offer is the sentance! So break the bank for a defender? Should we have sold him end of last season?

no offers so that any new owners would have a 'clean slate', and could make their own choices?
