People seem to forget what facilities mean. I'm on about disability access, cover, seating, facilities for away fans and more. Not coats of paint.

To be fair, even the club's official account of events makes it sound like an unprofessional mess.

People seem to forget what facilities mean. I'm on about disability access, cover, seating, facilities for away fans and more. Not coats of paint. indeed we asked for a simple RADAR key lock for disabled loo, or as it had become, the smokers lounge on rainy days. Radar keys are something every disabled person has, as its same lock across whole UK Someone even offered to buy it for the club to save them the £70 plus vat Club replied to say it was too difficult. SUpporters director said would look into it, and then replied to say it was too difficult and UWE would be better. The answer they came up with was for steward to lock the disabled loo with a normal key to stop non disabled use. Fine you may say, however (obviously) the steward had a few other tasks on match day, so we went from non disabled using loo, smokers using loo, and on one occasion a young couple using the loo to no bugger beig able to use it unless the steward was around! Does my freaking head in! Stuff and nonsense. There will be chaos this year also - disabled car park badges, for which people go on a waiting list and have to prove entitlement for by copy letter from DWP - are not marked as such or as in previous years not even a different colour. Therefore any one can park in disabled spaces this season and stewards wont know who is an approved space holder and who isnt. I advised the club of this oversight and the silence has been deafening despite 2 chasers.

Who will be looking after the disabled car parking spaces now that Rod Wesson and Dave Harper have been made redundant?

Our stadium isn't state of the art by a long shot but it's still one of the best in this league and better than quite a lot of League 1 and 2 teams. Your are in for a season of a cornucopia surprises on so many levels. Marty...

I advised the club of this oversight and the silence has been deafening despite 2 chasers. I was trying to look for the Level Playingfield survey about disability access at all grounds but all I could find on their site was info on every single team, I'd suggest most teams on that list with grounds built post-88 (when Glandford Park the first new build in ages went up) will have better disabled facilities than Rovers.

Oldham and Halifax have far better and nicer stadiums. Agree, the Shay is really good now they have finished the East Stand, bags of atmosphere these days. The Rasecourse is less than shabby as is The New Lawn and The Hive Stadium and ton of others including SB. This is not the Conference of the '80S and the early '90s. Marty...

Rod and Dave have gone too have they? Is Toni Club Secretary, FD and CEO now? Rod is still there as far as I'm aware. Emailed Kirsty last week to see who to speak to re: voluntary work and she referred me to Rod.

They didn't seem to do much looking after them anyway once the tickets were sold/sent as it was just down to the car attendents to save sufficient places, or not if we had a big crowd or something taking place on part of the car park.

I own a house in Gosport and have been to Privett Park on a number of occasions. Crazy to think when I brought the house in 2007 we were about 5 divisions above them. And anyone questioning their professionalism? Just pop along to a game. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and a proper family club, well run and part of the community.

As a regular Bristol fan apart from the memories the Mem is an adequate rugby ground but one of the worst football stadiums I have ever been to, please feel free to list worst league 1 & 2 stadiums?

Sorry, any stadium with only three sides like BCFC (1982) and that damn bloody team just down the road OUFC. (having a laugh please do not take me seriously).

We did consider renting a tent style stand for 8+ years then renting it to Wimbledon but our chairman has bigger plans. Redland Garros is being looked at by Bristol Sport

Plans don't come much bigger than the purchase of a contaminated field on the edge of the city to be used as a state of the art dog walking facility. Visionary stuff.

Oldham and Halifax have far better and nicer stadiums. I usedto work in Oldham and not sure many latics fans would agree with you. they've been umming and aahing about a new stadium for a very long time, leaving the current Boundary park in limbo and 3 sided for many years. It's finally changing now. not hugely different at the Shay. Lots and lots of slow change over MANY years has given them a decent ground now but don;t kid yourself they had suffered for many years.

Boundary Park was looking beautiful yesterday morning, hence my praise. Have the Halifax fans suffered as much as us? As it stands, their grounds are better than ours! Their progress might have been slow but ours has been non existent. This is why UWE must happen, to repay the loyal fans.
