Penultimate home match of the season and what a lush day for it. Sun, sun, sun.
A minutes applause for Lyndsay Parsons, much respect.
A home win would be well received, because it's gonna be a struggle seeing another one until August at earliest, so why not push the boat out and say:
Gas 2-1. JCH and JC. 8300.
COME ON YOU BLUES! UptheGas..

Looking forward to this one, hopefully a big bank holiday crowd & we smash at least 3 into them. Couple of early goals to kick off a decent atmosphere will do!

Hope it's not a nervy affair, a quick first goal (for Lindsay) to steady the ship, and then some composed footy and 3 points to safety!. Coyb!.

A must win match in a way. If we don't get 9,000 + we may aswell all give up.

Rochdale have conceded more goals than any other club in all 4 divisions so just hope we can add to that big time today.
Rovers make three changes to take on Rochdale in Sky Bet League One.
Liam Sercombe and Alex Rodman come into the midfield, as Tom Nichols joins Jonson Clarke-Harris in attack.
Joe Partington drops to the bench, as Abu Ogogo misses out.
Rovers XI: Jack Bonham, James Clarke, Tom Lockyer (C), Tony Craig, Tareiq Holmes-Dennis, Liam Sercombe, Ed Upson, Ollie Clarke, Alex Rodman, Tom Nichols, Jonson Clarke-Harris.

Game lacks quality. Dale on top 1st 20, rovers since
Lots of long ball, which is working for rovers. Needs a finish
Lockenbauer showing, not too many others. Ollie C a bit

Complete farce.
Tactically inept. Got exactly what we deserved.
The result isn't his fault, but the referee was the usual incompetent standard.
Another no show from Nichols, including managing to get himself into a position where if their keeper saves a shot he has no chance of getting to the loose ball and falling down continually, including kicking the ball against his own feet and then standing on it. The only thing to say about the bloke is that he's getting paid to disgrace our shirt with performances like that, we're paying to watch him do it, so who exactly are the mugs here?

Awful display.Club is going nowhere.Team very poor.No news on any ground improvements and the training ground promised to be ready for next month is mothballed.Board obviously not capable of sorting this mess out as epitomised by the TV fiasco and the embarrassment of tents for stands.

The heart sinks an hour before kick off every time the name Nichols appears. Someone must be blackmailing someone for this to keep happening with both dc and Cocko. We could still snatch relegation from the jaws of safety😩

Just to give some context to how dreadful today was, they've conceded 83 League goals so far.
Of course, we would almost certainly have scored 1 had Nichols laid the ball to his left for Ollie to tap in, but he hit a defender instead.

Oh f**kin dear we got what we deserved. One shot on target it doesn't get much worse than that. As previously mentioned Nichols, no assists and no goals. Looking more likely that his inclusion under two managers now will and could get us relagated. Yes he isn't the only one to blame, but a lack of goals is. That is why we paid big money for him. Please don't defend him, he doesn't deserve it and he knows it.

Even if we do stay up I do still have a lot of questions about Coughlan as a manager. That was dire.

Another thing about bloody Nichols, the ball gets laid back to their keeper, he jogs towards the keeper and the ball gets cleared with no pressure, 5 mins later one of their guys does what any professional footballer should do and sprints to close our keeper down, the clearance is deflected, it's panic stations in our defence and they get a chance to score.
Seriously, if Nichols can't be arsed to close a keeper down properly then something is seriously wrong.
He owes us all an apology and an explanation for his lack of effort in recent games.
