Rovers now 2nd bottom
Posh worth a draw per RadBris, though Rovers have defended well 2nd half

Don't let anyone tell you we deserved anything less than a win tonight. We were great. Peterborough broke quickly, but we dealt with it well. Their second was a cracker. The first looked offside.
Tom Nichols rightly man of the match.
Keep playing like that and we'll be fine. UTG.

Gave the ball away so cheaply particularly Ollie Clarke. Bonham and Nichols were fantastic tonight. When Tomlin went off Posh did not look so dangerous but their second goal was a cracker.

Just got back..
What another disappointment. We're used to that. Just getting that sinking feeling.
Okies.... someone said to me today (individually) we are too good to go down. I kinda agree, but kinda don't.
Tonight we saw something sublime with individual skill with Nichols taking, making and in the end converting his best opportunity. What a brilliant run and probably the best move of the match.
First half we were much stronger, especially in the early stages. What helped Peterborough and changed the game was, they played Tomlin further up the pitch around half way through first half, and with them committed more up front, their passing threatened to get through....our off side trap in second half worked well with our organisation. Tomlin looking way overweight, has attitude problem, and alot of his passing went astray. But that tactical move helped speed the link between mid and front two.....we looked a little flustered and whether their first equaliser was offside or not, will have to look again.
I'm not blaming Bonham, but that time and at least one other he seemed to commit too quickly leaving easy option for Toney....one other chance was prodded wide when it seemed easier to score. Bonham made up with it with brilliant save from godden and a few others but Def looking shaky compared to his flawless Gas start. Still the best keeps we got.
Lock and Craig handled godden well. With Ollie whom took his goal well, I would put those 3 m o m. Ollie did let his passing go astray second half. As did Lines. As did sercombe.... what's happened to him? Poor today. Passes hardly found their man and in one instance where clearance hit ref, a simple through ball was way over hit to dispel chance to go 3-1 up. Worrying. Hope he finds form back..
My overall m o m was their number 16. In defence, cleared everything up and distribution was excellent.
Apart from that I have to say another few points chucked away...I think we'll regret tonight as much as Wycombe. 4 points would make a hell of a difference, and our last 2 matches I've left the mem with disappointment and frustration.
... having said that if we were 2-1 down and equalised on 90 mins, I guess we'd all be a bit more upbeat. (?) At one time we were 19th tonight. Now we're second from bottom. We need some luck and a lino not from East Terrace side!
UptheGas.

Wouldn’t have put J Clarke on in place of Nichols, Upson would’ve been my pick. It just invited constant pressure the last 10mins, wave after wave of attacks.
The fact we couldn’t keep hold of the ball in midfield for what seemed like the entire second half, also didn’t help the cause. Ollie C, Sercs & Lines all guilty on numerous occasions. We battled hard but if you do all the hard stuff & cant complete your basic ten yard pass you’ll always end up paying the price.
A point looks great going by the league table, but it’s another draw that feels like a loss. Will have to do the unthinkable and actually leave Roots Hall with a win Saturday.

It was an enjoyable game and a very good first half performance from rovers. I thought they were good value for their point but it's frustrating they scored so late. Nichols and lines were our best players imo but sercombe had a stinker. Bonham made 2 very good saves but might have done better on their first goal.

In line with the defence on their first, shots come in & 2 maybe 3 of their lads looked well beyond the last man. The usual incompetent clown with a flag was pointing at THD having played them on, but didn’t even look close. The standard yet again, abysmal.

I was behind the goal but it looked offside so im sure your correct.

I think the bloke who received the ball was level, our left back was looking along the line and didn't step up, it's our own fault. Let's wait for the highlights and take another look. The ref was actually good, not interested in players falling down shouting as if hurt, tried to keep the game going, he had a good game.

His handling of Tomlin (when he went down squealing second half having not been touched) was first class, I’ll give him that.
