Fight Fight Fight my money on the Cornishman to land a knock out blow on Bambi that should keep him quiet for a few days. It's got nothing to do with me. I've said all along that people can stay home or go to games, good luck to them either way. We all know what the competition's about, we can make our own minds up. Leave me out of this one.

That's twice in a week we'll beat them then. Bargain. Am I the only one who has scratched my head at several people saying this?? The games are 10 days apart aren't they?

(I thought the semi final was the week after the league game) The semi should have been played in the week of the 25 Feb, so potentially Rovers would have played them on Saturday and then the following Tuesday, but, I believe because of a fixture backlog for Sunderland, it was moved to 5 Mar. www.efl.com/clubs-and-competitions/key-dates/

I will continue to boycott this turd-like trophy (as do many others). But if it's on TV in my local and I happen to be in there at the same time... Am I betraying my principles by watching? I mean it has zero 'effect' if I watch it or not. I'm not sure if Graham Norton would consider this foolly question worthy of his Radio 2 "grill Graham" section.

The televised game is also a good opportunity for fans to openly show their displeasure with visual signs from the terraces.

The televised game is also a good opportunity for fans to openly show their displeasure with visual signs from the terraces. Unless it is something clearly visible for the whole game, hardly anything will be seen as broadcasters tend to be very selective and use careful camera shots. You would need large numbers of people who ordinarily would not have attended the game despite the recent bribes announced by Rovers. Standing behind the goal with some kind of banner is an option, but would the club tolerate such demonstrations for fear of upsetting the league and/or sponsors?

Get crowd to turn their backs at ko or if goal scored Who does the 'getting' and does this include those in the pub watching SKY? (Not being negative, although it appears, but there are no core leaders of any kind of action, and nothing looks worse than a small number of demonstrators who also have to be on camera.)

Good post earlier in the thread about the absence of consensus amongst us fans. Most are boycotting the tournament for either principle or disinterest but there are still many that want to support the players and see a football match, even if they disagree with the tournament.

I want to support the players and see a football match, hence I rarely missed a home match for the previous tournament and went away a reasonable amount. If people do want to make a principled stance, stay away. If they're happy with the tournament then attend.

I repeat: We need to highlight that the changes to this competition could be the first step to inclusion of B teams in the lower leagues. That would destroy the integrity of the Football League and, through the consequent devaluation of the League matches, towards the demise of clubs who normally play at the lower corners of the Football League pyramid.
Rovers official site is promoting this questionnaire at the moment: Link to Football League supporters surveyI filled it in the other day and (wherever it was possible to enter free text) took the opportunity to register my objection to the inclusion of reserve teams in the Trophy.

Fill the Mem on 5 MARCH our real chance to go to Wembley and make more dreams. History tells us we have a good record there. Love to take my grandkids for the first time to the National Stadium.

Bloody hell. I did complete the survey. WTF?? Must have been 15 minutes at least. Beggers the question... what do they actually DO with the data they collect? Quick Answer: F*ck all. But when they're asked if they bother to engage with supporters, I guess they can point to surveys like this. The fact that they do not appear to do anything about the feedback they get, seems irrelevant. Quite literally a box ticking exercise.
