Stop blaming the officials for a performance that was lacking in creativity or ideas.if the players did their job what the officials did would be of no consequence.you are grasping at straws Gregory didn't blame the ref. We wouldn't have beaten any professional football team today, we were dog dirt, but Toner was his usual hopeless self, totally unpredictable in some decisions and gave a foul against us literally every time one of their players fell over, even when one of them stood on the ball, that was a foul as well. He's a clown who played into their trap of making sure that the game was disjointed. Thought the ref was fair to both sides and Wycombe deserved their victory. James Clarke did well out of a poor side Good to see the Beast.
If its true we will miss Sercombe if he is Portsmouth bound to join Browner.

I’ve seen the pattern emerge - do you have an issue with me? Would you like to resolve this in a grown up manner? Grow up and smell the coffee.referees make decisions so why is it that whenever rovers lose it is always the officialstell you what if that is a threat then to make it an even fight I will send my father he is in his 70s hut an ex pro boxer who won an aba title in the 60s

Not sure we would have scored in another 3 hours today.
We have no creativity and if Liam is off and Linesy isn't going to start (why?), it doesn't matter who's up front.
Man of the match today for me, was Tom Lockyer.

That's as bad as anything I've ever seen. No plan. No pace. No movement. Undone by a park football goal. Players had no idea what each other were doing. Start with 2 holding midfielders, at home, against a team who are pretty poor themselves. Did we actually scout them? Their right back is a liability, so we put him under no pressure whatsoever. Absolutely amazed if we don't finish bottom based on that. Truly dreadful. “That's as bad as anything I've ever seen.” +1 Fifty years a gashead and that’s as tactically clueless and as flat a performance as any down the years.

Payne, Matthews, Reilley are just not up to league football. Craigs legs have gone. Lockyear and James clarke were OK. Without Sercombe and Lines there is no creativity, (not that we have much with them). Better strikers out there today, same result. The service was dire, how many misplaced passes, awful long balls? How many decent crosses? Even with better target man and finishers same result as team performance won’t give them a chance. You know all those England World Cup games, with Rooney and the golden generation, the quality you know you have out there but the performance so awful they are lucky to scrape draw against Swaziland, it’s not all about quality of players.

I was going to point that out but I’d rather get the real issue resolved rather than argue a pointless argument. I’d not argue the ref cost us the game, we were woeful but I don’t think Wycombe were worth 3 points. He was an awful, and easily fooled ref and Wycombe were better at playing ugly than us. I lost count of the number of times their players collapsed at an apparent sniper shot from the stands. That’s my only idea why because nobody touched them when they randomly went to ground. Feared the worst when I saw his Adolf ‘aircut. He reffed it on the basis one bloke is standing, the other rolling on the turf so it’s obvious whose in the wrong. It didn’t help. But we are all agreed with the best ref in the world scoreline the same on that display?

Our clubs in a bad place. And we are frustrated. Let’s not start to taking it out on each other. Let’s at least rise above that. Manners maketh the man and all that. Unless the injoke is you are actually married to each other and I didn’t realise.

We are not down yet, but 50 points is a long way away based on these home performances and our patent inability to create and complete chances.
No. The real concern now is next seasons league two campaign. It may be a drop to lower standard, but we wouldn’t get away with performances like today’s or against burton in league two either, we would find ourselves at the wrong end of it.
Do you fancy us against Forest Green right now?
I’m not liking the two and half year contract given to someone unproven tactically, or in terms of man management, nor selling and buying, and coaching them into better players. I think based on having it to prove cocko only expected it till end of season. The fact it was two years I tie in with absent hands off ownership, and what have the people they appointed to administer the club done that builds our confidence?
Against Burton cocko played Kelly at left back and Martin in front of him. Olly and Ed his choice in the middle.
Holloway would have been far smarter decision for a two and half year contract in my opinion. But then I’m thinking of rebuilding and getting us out of League 2 next year, and then kicking it on from there, and that’s partly because having seen it all before I don’t see all the points to play for that can get us out of this, truth is all games are winnable but some runs of matches are just more difficult than others, and we are blessed with some good clubs on good run still to come to us. I suspect in the bigger picture it’s the damage already done home to Wycombe, gillingham, southend, Plymouth, Oxford, Scunthorpe, etc etc etc that tolls the bell in the final reckoning. Because looking back on numerous failures, it’s not always the run ins that ultimately cost you.

Make that +2 - but with only 47 years as a Gashead!
And I travelled 100 miles each way to see it. Why did I bother?
As bad as anything we saw under McGhee.
We tried to create from the back, passed it around a bit in our own half, then realised we had no clue how to get it through the midfield - so decided to hoof it over them, with predictable results. No energy, no creativity, no obvious interest being shown. The defence played OK in open play, but we couldn't defend a corner, and OUR set pieces were woeful throughout. No movement for throw ins - we got a lot of those. What do they practice at training?
The referee wasn't great, but nothing like as bad as being suggested on here, and certainly not the reason why we lost.
League 2 next season if we continue to play like that.

I only have a 60 mile journey each way. 😁⚽️ That 2as truly awful in every way. Clueless and gutless. No nouse or creativity. League Two is looking very likely as we will need at least 24 points from 18 games to be safe. Our record this season suggests we will be short of 52 points so we are likely to drop unless we can get someone like Rammell.

From comments on here, it's apparent the squad needs more quality. GC, in this interview, has nailed his colours to the mast re new players. Will the owners support him? I have my doubts. As a club, we are in a precarious position. The other lot are on a roll and the possibility of a double whammy (promotion for them relegation for us) seems more likely every week. That is a nightmare scenario and if we haven't already lost a generation of supporters that would make it a certainty. Yes, it's only one loss but the lack of ambition from our owners gives me a really bad feeling about the final outcome for this season. UTG

Hard to read him at moment. "Players playing well will keep the shirt" A little what fans and players wanna hear. "New stadium, I love the Mem" "Training ground, give me a patch of grass" Works for owners.
The rant yesterday. What fans want to hear.
Time will tell but looking like cheap option. Hope I wrong.

I heard it as 'I'd naturally want to bollock them because that's how I am, but we're trying to build confidence and the players aren't all like me so I need to do something but very carefully. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do yet, I need to calm down a bit before I act''
It might help that he can ship some out now as many contracts are almost up, plus they know that they'll be playing for their next contract, here or elsewhere

Much chat on gaschat about cliques/dissent in the dressing room. 'Drove DC mad' per GC, in spite of DC's repeated 'honest bunch of lads' assertions
