Interesting stats about hitting the bar or post from web..
The incredible statistic shows that the post, bar or upright has been hit more than once per game in Rovers' league games this season - an unbelievable 27 times in 26 games.
A breakdown of those numbers shows that Rovers have hit the woodwork 11 times while they're opponents have struck it 16 times, so while Rovers have been unlucky not to score more, they have also perhaps been fortunate not to concede more..

Holmes-Dennis back but no sign anywhere of Bennett again.Linesy must be unwell as he isn't on the bench but Jabba is our main strike threat.Good to see Sercs in.

Five team changes and surely is Bennett more injured than we are lead to believe ?
Rovers boss Graham Coughlan makes five changes from Tuesday's Checkatrade Trophy triumph at Northampton Town for today's Sky Bet League One fixture at Accrington Stab
The five changes see the likes of Tony Craig, James Clarke, Ollie Clarke, Alex Jakubiak and Tareiq Holmes-Dennis all return for the starting XI.
The full lineups for both teams are listed below.
Rovers XI: Jack Bonham (GK), James Clarke, Tom Lockyer (c), Tony Craig, Michael Kelly, Ollie Clarke, Ed Upson, Liam Sercombe, Tareiq Holmes-Dennis, Alex Rodman, Alex Jakubiak.
Subs: Adam Smith (GK), Joe Partington, Tom Broadbent, Sam Matthews, Liam Sercombe, Gavin Reilly, Tom Nichols.
Accrington Stanley: Jonny Maxted, Callum Johnson, Mark Hughes, Jordan Clark, Sean McConville, Sam Finley, Ross Sykes, Dan Barlaser, Billy Kee, Liam Gibson, Luke Armstrong.
Subs: Tony Warner, Scott Brown, Will Wood, Seamus Conneely, Erico Sousa, Andy Mangan, Piero Mingoia.
Sub Goalkeeper for Stanley is 44 and goalkeeping coach We must keep Kee quiet for sure.

Bennett isn’t a GC player.
Skilful on occasion yes, but never up for the fight or the battle & barely hangs a leg in when a tackle is required.
Not expecting him to feature much going forward.

I saw our match in the 2006/2007 season which was so dire I booked our holidays after (convinced we were going to languish mid table) which turned out to be at the same time as the Play off final at Wembley and hence missed the ****ing game.... The other was the one under McGhee which was even worse and I remember a couple of the players giving it large with the fans after being booed off and chants of 'what a load of rubbish'. Only one of a handful of games I've been to where the fans really had a go at the players. Chester away under Atkins being one of the others..... Was it Henshaw (sp) ?

Can anyone explain how little Yeovil can get eight players on loan from Premiership side Bournemouth and how do Bristol City get Chelsea loanees ?
Did perhaps DC blow it when we got Swansea loanees Connor Roberts and Ollie McBurnie and we hardly gave them a game ?

Was it Henshaw (sp) ? yes Alex Charles Henshall (born 15 February 1994) is an English footballer who plays as a winger for National League North club Darlington. Henshall began his football career with hometown club Swindon Town before joining Manchester City as a 16-year-old. He spent spells on loan with Chesterfield, for whom he made his Football League debut, Bristol Rovers and Ipswich Town before signing a permanent contract with the latter in 2014. A loan to Blackpool preceded a couple of months with Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock in 2016. He then moved to Darlington where he is now…

Hamer “news of my death has been greatly exaggerated ” Feck Uncalled for my friend. We all have to come to terms with our own mortality and fears of that but I’d never want someone dead, well..... not in a civilian capacity. Playing devil’s advocate, he is just his masters voice and he did actually show his own frustrations, when he did the joint interview, with DC on 20man

Unfortunately Clarke-Salter had a serious injury. They both looked good footballers, plenty of skill and well schooled, but just not ready for the cut and thrust, hustle and bustle, of lower league football. Colkett had all the tools going forward, could unlock the defence, but not really up for the stuff like tracking back - I think he would be an excellent 5-a-side player. Currently on loan for Shrewsbury this season, with only 1 appearance so far.

McBurnie was kept out by players doing their job on the way to promotion.

McBurnie went onto score goals for Barnsley and Swansea in the Premiership not league two. I still believe neither of them were given a chance. Just thought could the Bournemouth situation be because we signed a young winger from them and never even gave him a minute on the pitch ?

It was more to show that DC has given game time to some loan players. Last season DC was showing his frustrations with loan signings, and said he wasn't keen on having to take more on.

Between that date and the end of the season Gaffney scored 1 goal. I have said a few times that we should have given McBurnie more game time. Just my opinion. UTG. He can play Right and Leftback, was signed to add competition and didn’t get in front of Brown at Leftback. Maybe he deserved a run at rightback but nevermind. As for McBurnie, sure he’s gone onto have a good career but we got promoted so moaning about him not getting games is proper divvy.

In that time we scored 28 goals in 13 games averaging 2.15 goals again. I think we were alright.

You need to think outside the box ..don't show a knee jerk reaction to everything I post. I know you like name calling and such but really it now starts to wear thin.
Happily take a point at Stanley

You asked how other clubs can sign players from top flight clubs, people have pointed out plenty of players we’ve signed from top flight clubs. I’ll take a 2-0 win. Enjoy your weekend Chino.
