As per the BBC stats: 2 shots on target and 2 goals. Those are the kind of stats we've been seeing for the opposition so often this season, excellent to see us taking our chances at last!

So, for all of the criticism that Hamer and the club's owners rightly receive, it's worth saying that dealing with the manager when they did was the right thing to do.
Lots of games in a short period of time, easy for a gap to open up and to get stranded at the bottom of the table. I've got no confidence that we would have got a single point from any of the last 3 games with Darrell in charge. With 17 points and 3 more added to Oxford's total we would be all but relegated already.
Credit where it's due, they did what needed doing, and did it before it was too late.

We finish the year 19th. From where we were, I would say that is a really good end to the year.
Onwards and upwards in 2019!

Bring us Jak sing it Jak sing it jak sing it Jak again Ref I don't know what the new management team do in training but it looks a different side the last 4 games players want the ball and try to do something with it and do not hide when the going gets tough long may it continue. Now to find the car

That was a joy to watch. A team performance where each player did their job and stuck to the plan. Jak took his two goals with aplomb. The first linking up again with Holmes-Dennis before slotting it low into the far corner, the second cooly slotting home on a one to one with the goalie after leaving his marker stranded with a lovely turn. There wasn't a bad performance out there and, despite all their efforts, Oxford looked well beaten come the end. Upson and Clarke were a formidable duo in midfield and and our back four swallowed up everything that came at them. For the record, I'd listen to Byron Anthony every week if I could but I can't 'cause I like Keith too much :-)

Anyone hear Karl Robinson on BBC Radio Oxford after the game? Priceless! Oxford the better team, referee (s) useless, his squad too small, ravaged by injuries, etc etc...

from the highlights it looks like we had 2 very well-taken goals, and rode our luck in defence
under DC we never seemed to have any luck to ride

You could tell the sub ref was a 4th, looked way out of his depth in the middle and didn’t give us anything all day long. Still, class away performance & we finally look like we have some bite about us & a physical presence. No longer getting bullied off the park. Both Jak’s strikes were absolute quality. Lovely scenes. Looking forward to 7 in a row next season!

No thanks.

While we were scoring the 2nd goal look at what the Oxford defender did to our player supporting the attack.
