I don't want cotterill. Rovers are going to have to come up with something better than that to get me to do a 300 mile round trip to watch the Gas. I don't think I've been this down about things since the Mansfield game. I'm not sure if I will turn up any more. It's a free country I guess. I think we should get a manager with foreign experience, preferably German. Stefan Kuntz would be my call as he would be a natural fit for our owners. Motty's commentary from Euro 96 on Fantasy Football League. Priceless..

What about Mad Dog Martin Allen always loved Rovers fans and doing a good job at Chesterfield. Love his attitude, abrasive, controversial and hardworking with plenty of contacts within the game.

I think Cotts would initially divide the fanbase. All this talk of depleted crowds is relative to the quality of football we produce and more accurately our league position. One very big positive is while we were starting to go through the gears of our promotion resurgence, Cotts manufactured a comprehensive championship surge over the river and completed a double that season in this division. With a 3-5-2 effective formation. So we know he can do it, given resources. I'm afraid while we have the perfect right to take offence at his comments, he's just a one of those managers that says things to get a reaction and probably doesn't wholeheartedly think and emotionally feel it. He would say something like that wherever he was. That's my opinion. I still think he's a tw@t. Whether he can do a job or not (?), the jury would be out for a while, but I would support his appointment. An angle that hasn't been considered yet is that it seems he left on bad terms at City so he will be motivated more than most to succeed at Rovers. Not exactly your hungry young manager but I am sure he will want to prove Lansdown and co wrong and as you say I am sure he would make derogatory comments about city given the chance - it's just the sort of character he is. Most won't like him, especially after DC most won't like anyone. But keeping us in league 1 is all that matters at the end of the day.

If we find ourselves in the 5th tier again, assuming he hasn't been sectioned, we should give him a call, other than that, it's a completely ridiculous suggestion.

A chimp could get 82 Ltd promoted from L1 with all that fat controllers money pumping that vanity project up the leagues.
I don’t want anyone connected with that band of petty criminals, thugs and ASPD idiots masquerading as a “family club”
Nobody. Not even a steward or a postman calling if I can help it.
Tough stance but a large part of why we are in this mess and D.C. lost his job is because Steve Lansdown deliberately sabotaged us.
So no Cotterill, no to anyone, player, manager or coach who was at that club.

Secret agent Coles didn't do too badly either, don't think he came to us directly from The DSS Arena, but he made sure they didn't get promoted by giving away a daft penalty, then arrived here and did a steady job.

Why do you have to bring logic into things when I am over reacting ? On another note, I think I worked out who you are in the “real world”. Not that I set out to do that I hasten to add. Definately NOT stalking you, ok?

We signed some other bloke from them, can't remember who he was, think he made his debut away at Macclesfield, he was greeted with chants of Sh1thead is a Gashead, he was a bit rubbish, maybe something like Mathews?

I'd rather regroup in League 2 than have to suffer Steve Cotterill. As for mad dog, Chesterfield aren't in a rich vein of form are they?

That is a knee jerk reaction after all dc was a fans favourite but the attendances have been dropping. At the end of the day its what happens on the pitch that determines whether you go to games or not,the manager does not affect this whatsoever

It is indeed my knee-jerk reaction and my decision whether I continue to turn up for games. I don't need to be lectured on why I chose to turn up or not. I am able to make that decision on my own. Thanks.

You will need some kind of written note before attending future Rovers games. If you decide not to attend - you MUST have a valid reason and only Padstow will be able to validate that. I think that's how it works anyway.

No promises about anything having been washed though.
