Negatives:
1. It's not a well supported competition 2. More Forum baiting - unnecessary
Positives:
1. A win to end 5 successive defeats 2. £20k 3. Holmes-Dennis was fit enough to make the bench 4. The fantastic Steve K takes out time to write a report 5. Marcus's level of patience giving an interview with 4 lawn-mowers going up and down behind him 6. Steve Hamer meets up with his old fan-base
6-2

You're right, never call anyone out on doing things that harm the future of ours and many other clubs.
Weirdo.
Weren't you one of those calling the previous competition a Mickley mouse one. As for your assertations that it will threaten the future of the smaller clubs they have been under threat since bosmanand people like you were wringing their hands saying it's the end of the world.but the small clubs are still hanging one and will continue to do so after all teams like Barcelona have junior clubs in the Spanish set up and it doesn't appear to have caused the demise of other small clubs there Not at all, in fact took in most if not all home games in the competition and a fair few away.
Using Barcelona B as an example show's how incredibly poorly informed you are. Barcelona B play in Segunda B in Spain, this is the third tier in Spain and separated into four different leagues. In Segunda B Group III (Barcelona B's league) the average attendance is 1,768, this is massively skewed by the inclusion of Elche, Real Mallorca and Hércules CF (three very big clubs going through hard times currently. For comparison Group 1 stands at 1,344, Group 2 1,119 and Group 4 2,296 (skewed by Murcia and Huelva). That gives us a third tier average attendance in Spain of 1,632... Now obviously a Regionalised means more teams play at this level right? Well, Segunda B contains 80 clubs as I've looked at every League from League One down to National North and South... That's 116 clubs across 5 divisions... League One averages 7,805, League 2 4,491, Conference Prem 2,048 and Conference North and South 842... Across these five Leagues that leaves us with an average attendance of 3,287 or just over double.
Historically "B Teams" have been in the league system in Spain, Germany etc for 40-60 years. Many B teams in Germany were in the system prior to the formation of a National League in 1963. It's easy to post poorly researched comments like "doesn't appear to have caused the demise of other small clubs there" which is quite clearly a load of old bollocks. Educate yourself in how Reserve teams have diluted club football on the continent and how what we have in Britain, is very, very special and deserves obnoxious fools like me trying to protect it from men only interested in money.

Why is that. If we want to watch our side play no matter what the competition that is our perogative and does not need your approval As for the campaign by a minority to get it scrapped unless you can come up with the money to rival that put in by the sponsors you got about as much chance as a snowball has in he'll. You are entitled to your opinion but don't try to foist them on others You're right, never call anyone out on doing things that harm the future of ours and many other clubs.
Weirdo.
Agree but no need for personal abuse fella

Evening Post filling a few square inches of the paper writing about Gas fans possibly boycotting Wembley, little bit ahead as there's only Portsmouth, Peterborough and possibly Spurs U21s left in the Southern Section of this cr@ppy trophy - tomorrow's fish and chips paper indeed. Won't happen rovers will still sell in excess of 30.000 and the protesters can hold their meeting in a telephone box IF Rovers make it to Wembley I’ve got £25 quid here that says they won’t sell 30k tickets, to a charity of choice.

PATHETIC "SUPPORTERS". Not for not going (that is their choice)but for criticising fellow fans who do not hold their childish views. Grow up. Because you don't criticise fellow fans or contradict yourself Steve? From your report last night: "Crowd 4 Just over a 100 which really is disgraceful even taking into account the competition. "

I won't go to Wembley to support Rovers in this competition. Thank you and a Merry Christmas to you too.

For info: You are correct in stating that the next round (regional quarter finals, or round of 16 nationally) is regionalised. 5.1.3 Round of 16. (i) The 16 winners from the Round of 32 will contest the round of 16. (ii) The round of 16 pairings are determined by means of an unseeded draw but on a regionalised basis (North and South). The League shall determine the placing of Clubs in each of the two regions prior to the draw. ... 5.1.4 Quarter Finals. (i) The eight winners from the Round of 16 will contest the quarter-finals. (ii) Quarter-final pairings are determined by means of an unseeded draw. There will be no regionalisation of the draw.

Question what tier do rovers currently play in? take away sides like Portsmouth, sunderland and Bradford the average attendance in the efl 3rd tier is around 3500.I think your quote of it has been running for between 40 and 60 years actually defeats your argument because the majority of players in the bundesleague are home grown players with very few imports and how many world and European titles have the german national side won as opposed to the English counterparts in that period,as for your idiotic remarks about educating myself take a look in the mirror and see the fool looking back at you

Now Padstow, if you really are going to retort at least research the basics.

I think I proved my point with the stats you provided about the national sides success and your figures for the Bundesliga are incorrect using their figures foreign imports up until the qualifying for the last world cup was 37%,and significantly the national sides performance has decreased in line with the increase in foreign imports and my figures for average gates in division 3 is 4761 at least if you are going to provide false information based on pure guesswork to back up a failed premise do try to get them nearly right
