I see that we have won a bronze award for best Marketing initiative.
This was for season ticket renewal video.
Well-deserved. It was a great video.
Well done Mr Gorringe and all participants.

It was a good video, shame that Gorringe, hopeless that he is at his job, set the first date for closing sales of season tickets in May. May for goodness sake, what was he thinking!
We were in a position where, even after he had realised that it was a stupid thing to do and had set a different date, that date came, we stopped selling tickets whilst 1982 still had them on sale.
The bloke's a clown, we should get rid ASAP. Shall we list his other messups? There are plenty. Sure, things needed dragging out of the 1970s, but he isn't the person to do it.

Why the dislike with such intensity? Since he has been in place there has been some notable changes, mostly for the better I think. It hasn't all gone smoothly but they are in. I think it fair to say more changes in the last year than in the previous ten?

bad time to give out this 'news'. A mature person would have sat on this great news story when we're in a rele zone.
TG is a self serving 'professional' who will run off as soon as he can build up his profile and 'success' enough to get a better paid job. He's paid commission, so don't be fooled into thinking his amazing sponsorship success is purely for love of his job / the club.
Yet another non-gashead in BRFC, and he directly led to a gashead of 21 years service resigning.

The club has lost over 40 years of experienced Gashead staff since he joined. and it's not been a coincidence. Club has literally no-one left who knows squat about the club, the history or the city.

I mentioned dragging systems out of the 1970s, it needed doing, but the season ticket farce, the shop looks like a 5 year old set it up, staff shoving cash into their pockets in the car park, proximity boxes broken, still no operational CRM, season cards not being scanned when shop purchases are being made. This isn't cutting edge stuff. Sorry but he's clueless.

No I don't. I am aware that KB left over editorial control, I am led to believe, but nothing else. I am also aware that some "practices" at the club previously were, how can I put it, "less than commercial"

My feeling is that a lot of new ideas and technology have been squeezed into a shambles of a stadium on a limited budget. Add to that, the (almost) natural resistance to change from ingrained staff and volunteers and it cannot have been easy.

Keith was a regretful loss but are we really going to shed tears over losing the likes of the stadium manager & SC treasurer?! Proper Gasheads them mind.....

Personally I think that he gets a bad press.
He is hamstrung by the facilities. The Family Stand is not even his fault, as he was constrained by how much Bristol Energy were willing to sponsor.
The training ground could be used to generate revenue, but no-one is prepared to invest. See Crowd Funding thread.
Hamstrung, constrained, no-one...fight it,fight it Vaughan, fight it...
The video was great.

The video was odd.
"We don't have facilities for young kids to watch football".

The video was odd. "We don't have facilities for young kids to watch football". And those programmes cost a lot more than a kiddy booster step

Don't forget the innovation of the very popular Legend stickers in the matchday programme and the marketing of a new family stand. Tom G deserves praise not personal insults hang your heads in shame Alistair, Bambi and Chewy.
I will expect a full retraction otherwise Vaughan will not buy your sausage roll at the Forum meet up.

It was going so well until you mentioned New Family Stand, which ironically means that the girl in video can not stand there.
Fight it, fight it...
It's a beautiful video.

I can tell you that Santa's Grotto was never nominated for Football Business Awards.

And there it is Santa's Grotto
Repeated like Top Gear, so often that is not clever or funny anymore.

I have no connection to the club but it was run like a pile of w**k for years and it’s MUCH better now.
They are doing the best they can given the crap ground.
I sense personal alliegences. You can’t look at the work done over the last couple of years and think the previous regime were better. Literally nothing happened for years and years.
Shop looks fine to me, new bar is better. What’s the problem?
