We are sleep walking to relegation. Nobody seems concerned about it.

Normal service resumed. Rovers nil. Not sure how this changes and doesn't end up a relegation season. What is it now, 4 wins in something like 30 League games?

We are sleep walking to relegation. Nobody seems concerned about it. Alarm bells were ringing in the last 10 games of the previous season. Then we sold Gaffney. Then Harrison. And replaced them with less quality. The happy clappers were 'happy' with the transfer window (and the previous one where we sold Bodin and replaced him with Mensah). We do not appear to have a plan of how to score a goal. I've been very concerned for the last 6 months.

Even though we appeared to play better as a unit today, this current management structure isn't good enough atm to produce results we need to be safe from relegation.
Sleepwalking into relegation comment above is about right.
Thing is, I can't see a way out of it. We're not scoring anywhere enough goals to date, and our set up in formation and forward play is dysfunction at best.
Dc has been given a brand new pitch. A whole new back room staff of analysts and assistants. A winger he wanted (Bennett) and went after. A striker he courted and spent loads on (Nichols). A first signed and choice close season midfielder (Upson), but why did we need a run of the mill underperformer? A non replacement for Lee Brown. You cannot tell me Martin was his first choice. He had more than all summer to recruit. I like Kelly, but it's plain luck we have him. We need an experienced defensive left back that can cross.
All these decisions have left the club we love teetering on relegation.
I really think with attendances, sponsorship and corporate hospitality the highest it's ever been, plus sales from 3 high profile players (Bodin, Ellis & 1 other) - which I directly credit to dc - we are in the best position to move on from last season.
The problem as I see it is, the recruitment, tactics, formation and persistence in playing some under performing players has seen us dramatically reverse our fortunes to the point where you have to seriously question where the club is going? And does the entrusted encumbrance have the clubs' best interest at heart first and foremost? (as I feel the entrusted ego is at heart first and foremost)..

This is the most toothless frontline the club has had for many a year and we lack any speed and creativity. Afraid I can see nothing but relegation this year unless something drastic happens during the transfer window as the present squad are not good enough.

Listened to the commentary and it sounds like we didn’t play too bad. With the defensive record what it is, and the amount of quality already here before the window, I still wouldn’t rule out promotion. There’s still 70% of the season left. Anyone talking relegation this early is effectively saying to me these players and this team can’t get on a good run, this manager can’t get them into a groove, I simply don’t believe you. However I would prefer more of a settled side and tactic, rather than wholesale change on match to match basis, evidence is our best runs under this manager have come when side and tactic have been more settled. Did we pay money for Mensah? It’s an odd one, if he was at the club he’d probably be the second tallest player, and there ain’t much slight about him. He’s effectively been sent out in favour of rodman.

Sorry but this team looks like a team that will get relegated. Happy to be proven wrong though!

And does the entrusted encumbrance have the clubs' best interest at heart first and foremost? (as I feel the entrusted ego is at heart first and foremost).. Agree totally with the above which, unfortunately, doesn't even cover all the recruitment errors and mishaps. Payne seems to offer remarkably little for the large fee paid for him - unless you count attitude issues, and as mentioned by Epping we paid 80K for Mensah to effectively replace Bodin - 6 months down the track he is a squad player in Division 2 with no goals and six consecutive non-appearances on the bench. I appreciate recruitment is never a straightforward thing but DC (and whoever is advising him) is simply making far too many poor calls and the chickens are coming home to roost big time.

Toothless up front no idea where the goal is and the subs confused me.Danny was causing their full back problems ollie was working weLl with lines so he takes them off.we are a goal down so if you are taking one of your strikers off any sensible person would put another one on but no we get 3 yes 3 wingers on top of that Sercombe is playing like he doesn't want to be here.it has been hard so far this season but believe me the way things are looking it's going to get a lot worse. Padstow reporting from barnsley cold bloody cold fed up tired hungry and completely disillusioned

OMG..!! I've heard of happy clapping, but that comment is positively ridiculous.
I mean no offence, it's just I would think even the most optimistic of Gas would consider that a mathematical possibility, but a very very improbability.
I'll take ending up where we are now. Today. Tonight. And be grateful for it.
And then some things will need to change.

Just like the years clarke took us up. Don’t mean goals aren’t already here. We have chucked away plenty of points this season because we have no form. But form is a fickle thing. I believe in this manager and this squad. They can go on a run.

The football we play is really poor.Even the Rose Tinters must accept how bad we are.

If we've chucked away loads of points due to form this season, why are we playing players that were in form out of position (Ollie Clarke) or omitted from starting line up (James Clarke) v Wimbledon? Also, keep playing Nichols if he hasn't scored in a calender year tomorrow? These along with many more questions aren't asked in media. Yet they show themselves in our position in league, and I am very curious as to why you think we are ok, when I provide evidence that something is very, very wrong?
