Haven't started one for ages, so as a guest presenter, thought I'd try something different.
Actually quite confident we can get something, if right gameplan can be used. Bradford should be low on confidence, we can seize the initiative..
Hopefully Kelly and Reilly will start. For me, very good last week and showed promise. Nichols no comment.
Safe journey all Gas travelling. I'm going to predict 2-1 win to us because as an omen, it was Bradford 1-2 on this:
..
Hilarious on a Holtby pitch, our number 3 fires in a late tackle on their number 7, whom promptly gets up for a bit of a word....our number 3 does the international gesture for 'come on then if you want some' and 7 backs off using the ref as an excuse!
Cash injection news anyone?

I've more chance of scooping the Sky Super 6 than guessing a DC starting XI. Hopefully we 'go for it' and try and win. Agree on Kelly and Reilly. And Nichols. UTG.

Nice vid, even though we lost. It was a 4th Round FA Cup tie in 1951-52. Rovers had previously beaten Kettering, Weymouth and Preston. At that time, Southend played at "Southend Stadium in Grainger Road which was primarily a greyhound racing track, albeit with a larger capacity than The Kursaal [which they had played from 1919 to the 1934]". From the Southend official site: "The 1955/56 campaign was to prove one of the most pivotal in the club’s history. After 21 years at the largely unpopular Southend Stadium the Blues moved into their new home. The new Roots Hall had been built entirely by internal labour with Sid Broomfield leading a small band of men to build the stadium we know and love today. The entire cost of the stadium, save for a small grant from the Football Association, was met by the Supporters Club and their extensive fund-raising programme. The opening day fixture against Norwich City attracted 17,700 to the new stadium, built on the site of the old Roots Hall ground the club had used between 1906 and 1915. The move had the desired effect, home league crowds averaged in excess of 10,000, some 2,500 up on the last campaign at Grainger Road". Anyway, it's off to Bradford we go (not Southend!). Just over an hour's drive for me. Hoping we can build on the cautiously growing belief from the Coventry game.

Once again we start with 10men..... amazing how Nichols with the worst striker stats EVER manages to get his game time ahead of every other striker that's scored this season!(?)
Welcome back Parts! Nice to see Sercs (on bench).
COME ON YOU BLUES..!

As is tradition I’ve bet on a Nichols hat trick. Today he’s 100/1 How do they calculate that exactly? If Nichols played 100 L1 games, in 1 of those games he's likely to score 3 goals. I guess it's possible, but quite unlikely. He must be close to 50 League games for us so far, what is it, 1 goal, 1 missed penalty?

Matthews, i like. Hasn't been as consistent (for me) as I would like, but Sercs on bench can only be good news today. On the pitch next match. But it's all about opinions and Nichols gets his game again, when in all honesty if I went down town naked now with incontinence, I'd stand more chance if scoring than he does.

Kelly very impressive. Ollie C good. Parts too, I think
Main threats to our goal are our defence and their no. 7 down the right
They aren't very good
Front 2 working hard but not v threatening
We're playing an interesting mix of long and short
Craig, I think, almost gifted them a goal but Doyle hit the post
Interesting game. Bantams have very loud crappy drum
Beard working hard/pope is still Catholic

We had our chances, didn't take them, they had chances, didn't take them.
Still don't know why Nichols gets his game when it appears every other striker looks livelier.
Funny thing is, no one publicly asks the question!
0-0 4points from two games is good. Shame as I think this was a missed opportunity.

9 points from 10 games. Says it all for me. Make your own conclusions. We’re used to slow starts but this is bad

We’re used to slow starts but this is bad On that basis yes, but if we can recreate the likes of the 3-1 at home last week and a clean sheet away this, then things will look better. Sercombe coming back will hopefully add a bit of quality. Sinclair energised the team last week. Lets keep the last couple of games form up

Bradford were there for the taking but Clarke persisted with his stubborn midfield defensive tactics. Substituting Nichols on 89 minutes was a p*ss take. He did absolutely nothing in a game that was crying out for some creative players but they were kept on the bench. Sercombe came on late and almost scored twice in a matter of minutes. Sercombe is an attacking midfielder who can take a game by the scruff of the neck, knows how to get into scoring positions and poses a threat every time he goes forward. Nichols poses no threat whatsoever and just spends his time looking a "tidy player" passing it backwards and sideways and making runs into nowhere land. Matty Taylor missed a hatful of chances but he got into scoring positions to miss them and usually ended up scoring. This bloke couldn't find a barn door let alone hit it. Clarke is giving poor teams too much respect and when you do that they invariably knock one in late off a post. We rode our luck once or twice when we could have won comfortably with a more adventurous line up. Not only that, it's excruciatingly boring to watch.

Walking away talked with some Bantams who thought we could have won 5-0 'if we had a striker'. Also they thought both teams likely to remain bottom half
Bradford manager on radio said his very young team did well, scrappy but entertaining game, had worked on getting down the flanks which happened 2nd half, thought both teams could have won it, said we changed shape and played 6-3-1, which made it hard for them to get down flanks 1st half
I thought we played midfield diamond with Upson at the back, sincs up front, and The Clarkes left and right
Both teams could have won it. A draw was fair, but we were the better side I thought. Both goalies did well
