I’ll take a good battling point right now. Move on to the West Country derby.

Nobody will be training on those pitches any time soon. Around about now is the latest that you can seed for the grass to root properly for next spring. July 1st 2019 - that's when it opens. When Steve Hamer announced it - I thought... crikey, that's a long way off... but at least we have a firm date. So I guess it's over to you Mr "Crazy Gang" for an update. He needs to change those landing lights for daylight bulbs, get that ground seeded and turn the lights onto the pitches, PDQ.

Got to take a point to stop the rot of defeat. But... Why again play Nichols? Our creative midfield seems to need creating? I'm concerned that there isn't enough quality in the squad, or if there is we are not playing them, and we are slowly being left behind by average teams in this league. Shrews will be relegated, we've just been lucky to come away with a point. We have big problems. I’m not using this to try and say I told you so but you are correct in that we really are a crisis club

Somethings going wrong behind the scenes, there's enough quality in that squad to produce better than this.

From the outside, it just looks like a bad start to a season and one where we may or may not get relegated. So what...

We tried our hardest to give the shrews their first home win of the season. By getting a player sent off and scoring their first home goal of the season. Can thing's get any worse maybe maybe not.

If you mean the bit about quality, no, can't be certain, but they did a number on Wycombe and looked half decent against Portsmouth.

Can things get any worse? Maybe, maybe not. Yes they can, Kegan. There's no maybe about it, Deggers. We were relegated to the Vauxhall Conference while taking out Wongaloans to sue John Sainbury's. This is not yet our worst season ever, darling.

Wonga have gone into administration, turns out that people were taking loans that they didn't actually need but they aren't doing that so much these days.

DC says in post match interview disappointed alot and we can use this draw as a building block (I am inferring he's not been happy with defence or goalkeeper situation).
Fair comment and somewhere near part of the truth imo.
But... Surely that, of majority of that should have been done pre-season?
We've been aware of issues at left back and keeper since May at least.
We're 8matches in and using a building block. That's almost 20% season wasted. Or is it just me?

O.G. Leadbitter.Really poor stuff and with the powers that be refusing to discuss the stadium and training ground situation,'Due to Confidentiality' issues we are at a very low ebb whatever the Rose Tinters might say. What the hell has all that rubbish got to do with the own goal or the match thread?

O.G. Leadbitter.Really poor stuff and with the powers that be refusing to discuss the stadium and training ground situation,'Due to Confidentiality' issues we are at a very low ebb whatever the Rose Tinters might say. I am not a rose tinter, but grounded in history and realism. I have been supporting Gas for over fifty years, and during that time third tier is our natural level. If anything the changes to English football, rule changes with transfers, influx of money into the premiership and championship, all five divisions are even tougher and football is so much more follow the money favouring the people with it to burn these days than in the past. How can we compare today with a past where there was maximum wage, it’s chalk and cheese. Third tier is a good level for a club that’s the size we are right now. Just being competitive in here year after year is a worthy challenge right now. Which brings me nicely to my bewilderment with some of you thinking what the current board doing for us is too little too slow. You what? I wanted a kite. About 45 years ago. My Dad said, you want that kite in the shop window, let’s go down and get it then. So off we go. And there it was hung up in the window, in the form of a bat. A bat kite! My Dad said 45p, you got the money? I said I don’t have anything. He said you can’t have it then. So we went home. Wail (sic) doesn’t have abramovichs riches. He’s not a fake shake (sic) because he’s not a sheik. He’s in a wealthy family, and he’s the mad football fanatic who will burn their cash, not make more money for them out of football. we needed some fresh ownership and direction. We got it. They cleared the wonga loans, presided over two promotions. Bank that. It don’t feel like we are going to the wall tomorrow. And they have given Clarke a competitive budget, not a relegation or even bottom half budget. I think that’s fair enough. Some of you need to take the lesson of the bat kite analogy and reconcile your own expectations with reality. A football stadium comes with a price tag, just ask Arsenal, Southampton, Supporters today and spurs fans in 2020. Where are you saying that sort of money is for Rovers stadium? Solid third tier building organically to lower half Championship. Why would any level headed, blue n white blooded, fair minded gashead have a problem with that? Right. That’s said. I’m off for a curry.

Sold the best players. Yet people like you think that they are great but DC who got Rovers promoted from the Conference by bringing in players that nobody had heard of and then getting a second promotion in successive seasons is the problem here !

Sorry, will check in future to see; A. If I'm entitled to make comment based on being in a relegation spot and having just managed 0 shots on target from open play against another team, also in a relegation position. B. What the time of day is, so that I can assess how tired and emotional you are likely to be.

My Dad was a bit of a sadist. Gasheads should therefore accept a third division relegation campaign with woeful facilities. Sorry to hear that. I disagree though. I'm glad Jordanian bankers bought us out the Nick Higgs fiasco, and I'm glad to be in the third division too. But I won't be grateful for the training ground shambles, stadium absence, or relegation to the fourth division. It's a bit rubbish.
