Well, I hope all you traveling Gasheads have had a healthy portion of Weetabix for breakfast. Don't forget to take the leftovers with you. This poor run has to stop soon...right? Can't say I'm feeling too optimistic about this game though as this is yet another bogey ground/team for us. I'll retain a positive attitude though and go for a 1-1 draw. UTG:

Shrews 7-5, Draw 12-5, Gas 19-10. Hopefully we will see a "Wycombe" type performance. I think a dull draw more likely though. 0-0.

SLAM!
The window is shut. No Sweeney or Lumley coming over hill to rescue Clarke The cleanies we need to transform from a relegation side to mid table safety has to come from this squad of players.
We are going to have to keep scoring every week to climb out of that bottom four. đ¤

The team news is, for Nichols fans, your man gets yet another chance.
442 again, with Mathews left Rodman a game against his old side. Bennet benched.
Brave from Clarke to wave the same wand in the same way with the results its giving him.

What the strops that?â âExactly.â The point itâs going to take more than one goal from our number 10 support striker, someone needs to come in to the team and make a habit of it.

I thought he had improved, until last Saturday. Absolutely amazed that he's not been sent packing after that cowardly performance, he was a disgrace to himself and our shirt last Saturday. We must be desperate to stick with him. All I can say is that I hope he eventually turns a corner and comes good.

And with the price tag and wage you can understand why Clarke keeps giving him starts, the alternative is the manager gives up and admits to board and world he has cocked up. But from the fans point of view itâs not that there arenât other options to try.

It's being made into a problem by pressing on with him when, based on his performance last weekend, he has no interest in doing what's required to be a professional footballer at this level. But we don't know what's happening behind the scene's, and it's always dangerous forming conclusions without all of the information.

Fussy Referee.... someone going to see Red today ..... Yeah, it's got that feeling about it... 16 first-half fouls and 4 yellows (to Shrewsbury's 4 fouls and 1 yellow).

Bristol Rovers zero shots on target, Shrews have had 4. Rovers - 3 out of the back 4 booked. GK making his debut as is Martin at left back. Locks/Craig are short. Upson / Clarke lack creativity. Nichols + anyone = little goal threat. I am adjusting my prediction from 0-0 to Shrews 1 Gas 0. Am I too pessimistic? Anyone there who can comment?

Another half of a game comes and goes without a single shot on target and without a single effort of any type from out front players.
We are 22nd and look to be in deep trouble, yet Wycombe, who we gave a footballing lesson to for 85 minutes, are winning again and sit comfortably mid-table.
Fingers crossed the manager can think of something to say to shake them out of it.

Given the above Shrews to win at 13-8 at HT looks good value. (I do not encourage gambling. When the fun stops, stop.)

Joe Jacobson scores for Wycombe,Dom Telford scores two for Bury,Harry Pell scores for Colchester, Matt Lund scores for Scunthorpe and Lumley starts for QPR.In other news ,we had a very poor first half but still not conceded.
