Sorry but that was pathetic today from the Manager to the team, to all the coaches who look a total waste of money and to the owners who aren't helping. I am not willing to waste my time reporting on that rubbish today. Apologies to those who like to read it especially those who weren't there- You were lucky! if this is the best that DC can produce from the team then he will be gone before Christmas,.
Smith 5
Leadbitter 2
Craig 5
J Clarke 6.5 MOM
Broadbent 4
Sercombe 5 Based on 18 minutes
Bennett 4
O Clarke 4
Upson 6
Payne 5
Nicholls 5
Rodman 4
Reilly 5
Jakubiah 5
Ref 2 Sure he booked their goalie twice and I believe he was the one who disallowed a goal at Blackburn last season just as they were in the process of kicking off. He was as pathetic as both teams.
Southend 4
Crowd 3

Thanks for the sentiment at least Steve. Worrying times if it isn't even worth reporting on.

Baffling substitutions. We have nobody left in midfield who can pass the ball more than 2 feet without it going straight to an opposition player, so we take off our big centre forward and bring smaller guys on, then continue to hit it long.
We have little blokes stood next to big defenders waiting for crosses from Danny, which always either go straight out for a goal kick, hit the first defender or sail straight over the top of everybody.
We looked OK on Tuesday, today we would have been beaten easily by most L2 teams, we were rubbish. It was so bad it was actually quite worrying.

As ever - thanks to Stevek192. I saved myself a 280 mile round trip and a minimum of 6 hours in the car to avoid this predictable pile of bcfc1982. I don't blame DC. Things are rotten at Rovers and only a change of ownership will change things. Stagnation not evolution. In fact we don't even aspire to stagnation. We're going backwards. But hey ho - we have an ever expanding senior management team to steady the ship. That's sinking.

The goalie was not booked twice. The first booking was for No 3 for 'verballing' the referee. Pay attention Steve.

Broadbent's passing first half was poor almost gave them a chance with back pass to Smith and other ones did not reach the intended player. Late on he picked so good passes but overall 3/10 The Watford loanee deserves no more than 3 either poor control and failure to pressure defenders. Agree totally on Leads his crossing was pathetic. Did we miss Locks ...no as Clarke filled in well at centre back a real utility player low on talent but high on effort.
Our worst start to a season since 2012/13 when we picked up just two points from opening five matches

Of course it's right, except that who's gonna want to buy Rovers? The AQ's will want their money back, but who's gonna be daft enough to pay that?

Dropped too deep second half, which Lines can do and pass. Upson seems to be limited to 5 yard passes, anything further 50/50 where it will go. Not saying Ollie Clarke played well but at least managed the pass the opened them up to find Sercs who then gave Nicholls the chance. And he had the run and shot that made their keeper make a save. Upson second best Rovers player on the pitch? Its all about opinions I guess. He's a crab IMHO

Booking a keeper in the last minute of injury time is the final insult.
What does that say? You won. I let you waste the time, here’s a token booking.
I have to say I’m a little less bipolar than most on this game. It was a crap day at the office. Not a forbringer of relegation.
We lost 0-1 at home, big deal.
We’ve had these before, under Clarke. Its always “the worst I’ve seen in 20 years” and come a win we will be the undisputed champions of football.
Or, as some fans do, just predict it’s completely sh1t at the first hint of trouble. If we turn it around, it’s forgotton, or it’s “yeah but Clarke did x y z like I said” or if we go down, it’s “I told you so”, so fans can at least put the boot in on more positive fans. Even in defeat one can rescue a shred of petty victory.
This isn’t aimed directly at you Steve, this is aimed at most of our Facebook supporters.
I’ve heard these tales of woe every year Clarke’s been here. Perhaps we should get the printing press going with some more “Clarke out” leaflets like the start of the successful conference campaign.
Seen it all before. This squad isn’t going down without a lot of injuries and bad luck.

I said it pripr to the season started and I truly believe that unless we change owners/manager/players or a combination of that then we are in for a relegation scrap. Crowds are already dwindling and if there is not an upturn then we will be down to 6000 crowds by our 10th home game. There are behind the scenes problems and Browner left due to that. I very much hope I am wrong but I don’t see this group of players doing what the conference lot did. Maybe the return of Sinclair will be a turning point ? Your guess is as good as mine

Evening KP, I disagree with you, and I don't often. I agree with Gregory Stevens , and I don't often. You're welcome to say that you told me so later in the season. I may be bonkers to view us on a longer scale. But I do think the manager and players will get us top half. And I don't ever want to go back to changing managers every year. Let's hope I can say I told you so later in the season. I know nobody would be more pleased. Your Sinclair point is pertinent, I think. Surely his enthusiasm and effort put pressure on others to man up. Sounds like Nicholls should be forced to justify selection at #10.

How can you not often agree with clearly the most articulate poster on this board, excuse me, the undisputed champion of this board? :-) What gets to me is that this team and manager have clearly worked hard over the years compared to previous regimes. They work hard, things don’t work out. They’re massively pissed off about it and our fans are like “sack them all asap” It would put me off the club. Rovers fans were always loyal. We used to laugh at city, tantrums after every defeat. New team and manager every six months. Take my season ticket back because we lost 0-1 away, bloody Lansdown! We’re becoming what we used to hate! Keep the faith. UTG

But if you think that we are a top half side... then I think someone is pouring mind-altering drugs into your pond! I back DC pretty much 100%. Changing our manager this season would IMHO be a complete disaster. (He's the 7th longest serving manager in the top 4 English divisions). This squad of players is bottom third. Hopefully not the bottom half of the bottom third...
