Interesting Rovers cannot get a new ground, Bristol cannot get a new Arena. I am surprised that Lansdowne isn't involved in the arena If he had of been then it would have been built by now. I was talking to a member of our family who recently retired from a senior post at BCC. He told me that the Temple Meads site for the Arena had been dead in the water for a while, and that the decision was made to move to Filton. I said that l had heard rumours that UWE might not be dead and suggested that it could be possible that the stadium/arena at UWE could be a possibility. It would be ridiculous to have two sites. He agreed that the UWE site made sense. Car parking; students; M4/M5 etc. Lansdowne would not be permitted to invest in two clubs l believe.

Been told that the family want to sell but Wael wants to retain 25%. Somebody from Southampton wants to buy the club but he wants the 92% the Al-Qadi's own. This may be BS but it's what I've heard. Colony is being held up because the Al-Qadi's don't want to spend money on something they may not own in a few months time plus ca change and all that?

The club was bought to indulge Wael's passion for English football and his ambition to own a club. Do you remember that the stumbling block with UWE was that they wanted to see the colour of their money? It started to go downhill from there. UWE were surprised when they walked away. Make up your minds but after yesterday's insight, but DS do not have the funding to make the Stadium project or probably the training ground a reality. I will to use a phrase "roll with it". a lot of what vaughan put on this thread still seems to stand up
