I purchased the Racing Post today, as I do once a year when they do their “Big Kick Off” predictions.
Of course I quickly navigated to the League One predictions and suffice to say they don’t fancy us. Notable tips are:
Bristol Rovers relegated 7/1
Rochdale to finish higher than Bristol Rovers 6/5
Personally I think we’ll be ok, but it’s made me think!

It depends on who we bring in to score goals. "If" we can't get someone half decent in - then IMHO - we are a bottom 1/3 side. And as half of the bottom 1/3 get relegated... then yes, I concur with the Racing Post. 7-1 is good value.
PS. the Bookies don't 'know' anything. Their odds (to a very large degree) simply reflect the weight of money being gambled on a specific event.

We didn't bring in anyone who would appear to be capable of scoring "goals" on a regular basis. We are currently evens to go down. |
