Okay people watch out for whippets today. Let's delay their party with a win.

Loads of effort, big spaces in midfield, but we actually crated more than them. The biggest difference was that they knew how to control a Sunday League standard referee, we just accepted every decision that he gave and let him get away with it. Another shocking display of biased refereeing, but Blackburn pressured him into it, in the first half he rightly gave a corner, their bloke was complaining about it fully 5 minutes after the event. They expertly threw themselves around screaming, we don't. We need to wise up to how these unfit incompetents operate. Edit. 1982 lost, again, looks like they need more than clueless officials to make the play offs now. Hard luck S'heds It's the hope that kills you.

Blackburn looked good on the Ball without actually having much end product. I thought the penalty was harsh but Broadbent lunged in and gave the incompetent ref the chance to give a spot kick. We were lucky not to go two down a couple of times but a draw was certainly what we deserved. Until the penalty we had the better chances but to9 often we delayed shooting and let the chances slip by.

It was a penalty and struggled to see what Moore did to justify man of the match from the sponsors. Bennett far more a threat than Moore.A promising debut by our first ever Jordanian. All left foot but a confident dribbler who quickly got on the ball. The 15th to make his league debut so far this season.
Broadbent looked uncomfortable today as Blackburn's experienced strikers showed how to put pressure on our defence.
Superb strike from Lines.

That was an exciting end to a good game. Fair play Gas, your ground is probably my favourite out of the 92 I've visited!
If you want a recap of the match, or you didn't happen to make the game, check out my video containing both goals:

First chance for the East side to apricate at a Rovers game this year - peaked caps a must - with a cooling zephyr. I imagine even the normally chilly West side were able to dispense with their dreadnoughts today. A capital game, a spiffing finish, with a splendid strike to equalise - lashing of ginger Corona tonight, I'd say! Superb strike from Lines. *1 - You must have been at a different game to me. *2 - I think you are thinking of the young central defender, Ghassan Abu Hassan, who is probably quite a way from playing first team football. He was on loan at Mangotsfield United earlier this season, and now on loan to Bishops Cleeve, who are currently bottom of the same division as The Mangos and Yate Town.

Mohammad Baghdadi is a German footballer of Lebanese descent. My apologies mixing him up with Ghassan Abu Hassan. Baghdadi is as you say German born. Winger Mo Bagdadi was on loan at Weston following a successful loan spell at Dorchester earlier in the season, where he scored seven goals. Baghdadi also enjoyed a spell on loan at Poole Town in January and has featured in the Central League for the Development Squad;
He became the fifth German-born player for Rovers in the League, after Wilf Smith, Spiess, Broghammer and Dünnwald.

Looked like you enjoyed the experience of the Thatchers end too. Nice capture of the goal from that angle - 9.15 mins in.

I thought Moore and Bennett were equally threatening, but Moore put work into getting back as well, he suddenly has some confidence.

Glad you enjoyed the match and the atmosphere. Amazing clarity of video, even of the far end of the pitch, given that you were in the Thatchers End (North Terrace). Good luck with your ground-hopping; hope you make a return to the Memorial Stadium soon. After all, think what the atmosphere will be like when we win!
