I don't feel anything for Taylor, which is a real shame because he helped our club through one of the hardest parts in our history and ended up scoring loads in a season which was one of the greatest parts of our history.
He had hero status at Rovers and a manager who developed him and believed in him.
He traded it all in for an opportunity in the Championship but at a cost of giving the finger to the history he had achieved for himself and the fans who loved him.
It has turned out as badly as it probably could have done for him. His old fans at Rovers don't care about him. The C*ty fans only like him because he left us. His form has left him for well over a year and his manager will find it difficult to give him games.
All he has to show for that decision he made is the additional cash from the better contract.

There are other clubs he could have gone to for his cash grab though presumably.

As I recall there was little interest from other Champ clubs for the simple reason that he isn't in that class. City bought him for one reason only and that was to screw us over. Can't really blame him for taking his chance. I got over it a long time ago - he's a good player and a very good league 1 player but not really worth fretting over.

His agent wouldn't just have been telling the teds that his client was available for £300k and a set of steak knives. He'd have been telling everyone who'd listen in order to get the best deal possible (for himself mind). Championship quality or not - and that was guesswork at that point in time - he was terrific value at 300k with his recent goal-scoring record behind him. Can't believe nobody else would take a punt on that given the cost players go for these days. The alternative is that snakey wanted to go to the teds of course. I'd rather not contemplate that possibility though!

I have also moved on, but I still long and hope he gets binned and signs for Macclesfield or similar.
