Correct decision as the weather would have worsened as the evening had progressed. One thing that didn't make sense is why according the referee the whole pitch was frozen when he made his inspection. What sort of state are the covers in and what was the point in covering the pitch if they don't work. My question would be why were we the only league game off last night, even the two Scottish premiership games were on, I cant imagine St Johnstone or Hearts have undersoil heating and I cant imagine it was colder here than anywhere else in the country.

Could it just be that we have low quality covers, half of the pitch is in shadow all the time, and by the time the pitch was repaired and the warm down finished on Saturday, it had already started freezing?

Mike, do you have any statistics on our record with pitch inspections? How many we've passed, how many we've failed? Thanks. Can we have a threat on favourite postponements? My favourite was 11 years ago. The Saturday before Sir Rickie blasted it past Basso. You want a threat on postponements? If you postpone anything I’ll knock you clean out. Better?
