it was a massive game for them especially after beating Man Utd. What got me on the BBC live screen was the amount of Rovers fans saying it was good for Bristol, also liked it when a presenter was picked up for saying Bristol rather than Bristol City. Sorry (and this hurts) but they deserve to have all the news at the moment. Semi final of a national cup, they played better away than most premiership clubs have and are looking good for promotion.
the only good think about last night was the snake did not get on the pitch.

I'm surely not alone in thinking not a single one of those comments on the BBC came from real Gasheads. They didn't publish the robust response I sent Good for the city of Bristol my arse.

Never seen a group of supporters so excited at losing a game of football before.
Keep it up Sheds.
Idiots the lot of 'em.
I agree with what's been said above, I don't know any Rovers' supporters who wanted them to do well. In fact, the point was questioned by a supporter of one of the Sheffield teams on BBC last night, he couldn't work out what was going on, he said that if his local rivals were playing he would want them to get hammered.
People being all nice about 1982 obviously haven't done any research at all on their horrible record of violence, it's still the 1970's in and around that stadium on match days. Wonder how that Wolves supporter is who was hospitalised back in April? Will never apologise for saying this so often, it's a disgrace that they are allowed to use the crest of our City.

Ali Durden is a big Pompey fan, David Garmstom wouldn't know one end of a football from another. Geoff Twentymans' interest as a fan is Liverpool as is the main Radio producer. The only reason they're getting coverage is.... surprise surprise they're doing a whole lot better than us.

The fact is clear to see that the only bias is caused by the success of City in the last couple of years BOTH on and off the pitch. We are now totally the poor neighbours with the gap being at the widest it has ever been. Them in a spanking revamped stadium ,us still in a ram shackle rugby ground, them making signings for millions ,us seemingly struggling to even make one signing before Saturday and them playing in the semi final of a main stream trophy against the best team in the Country having already beaten Manchester United reserves and pushing at the Top of the League for a Championship and us struggling for League 1 survival and out of all of the cups. One owner never out of the limelight and the other struggling to even come out with any sort of output. One Manager talking up his team and the other seemingly gone into total hiding waiting to have his next moan. NOW IN ALL HONESTY WHICH CLUB WOULD YOU REPORT ON!!!

I get what you are saying Steve and I agree with a lot of it (not all though). But it sure 'felt' like the gap was wider when we dropped into the conference to me.
They have some really good infrastructure set up over there now though and ultimately I think we all know that they are going to get to the top flight eventually - with that infrastructure and the Channel Islands Treasury behind them. I reckon my gran could get them promoted given the backing and resources available over there - maybe Johnson will manage it eventually. In the short term though they haven't actually achieved anything unless they get promoted and that is not a given. The long term picture does look pretty grim though.

The sports editors for the evening television news trawl the morning newspapers for their programme content for the evening transmission. As BCFC are flying high at the moment (current form 2 goals for and 12 against in four defeats) they are in the news frequently and the Kliche Kid is probably having a party. Our lot live behind closed doors and say pretty much nowt. Not surprising is it?

I would still find the news, such as it is, relating to the club that half of the residents in the City have an interest in. These things are cyclical, I wouldn't want to alienate half of my customer base just because one club's fortunes are on the up at any point in time.

gap widest its ever been".
No, not for me. Less than a year ago there were fans from both clubs who thought we might swap divisions, and more you thought we could end up in the same divi. My city mates who are objective, there are a few, say they rode there luck for a while and it generated confidence. I think that there cup exploits will take there toll. In a years time, who knows, city could be struggling again and we could be challenging for promotion.
Swings and roundabouts, very quickly.

Another major problem is our pr.is rubbish theirs is professional. If a player sneezes at training it is passed on to the media if one of ours gets a career threatening injury it is kept secret. We don't use the media as a friend more like the enemy. You only have to look in the post several different reports from ashton gate sod all from us

I've been a regular viewer of Points West since I was a kid and I've always thought it was tremendously biased towards other people. It's supposed to be 'my local news channel' for goodness sake - where the hell are the stories about me?

Looking at a map, every road in the country leads from somewhere to your house, you must be important.

Have been looking at pictures of Helium Jnr in his Arthur Daley coat, grinning like an idiot over the last few days and have been thinking to myself, you are only ever a few poor results, or one angry exchange with a supporter being caught on camera after a match goes against you away from being out of a job.

Too busy attacking away players and kicking Wolves' supporters until they have life threatening injuries. You must be so proud. Your club and everything about it disgusts me. On a personal note, you can't even write Muppett correctly, Muppet.

I don't like to 'say' it,but City are a club probably 'going places'.The Prem. They have a decent chance at least. They have a stadium of top class quality and size. They have a manager doing a very good job who is backed by a rich ambitious boss. They have had a great season in the league and League Cup not to mention giving arguably the best team in the world a run for their money. That game is still at ht.
Rovers have imo a great manager.A thoroughly disapointing board. A stadium that is great with 7000 plus inside, but never the less of no higher than 3rd tier standard. We appear lost, failing and lacking ambition. As usual.
I wonder why on earth the media may be heading to Ashton Gate more than the Mem.

Everything about my club disgusts you? Everything about your club makes me laugh! Yet you still feel threatened enough to have to read our forums? Enjoy the 20 place gap, bought with £400 million of Lansdown's money, shame he didn't want to pay tax on it, he thought it was more important to fund a football club than pay back into the society that created his wealth. You must be so proud. How's Trevor Tainton these days, you remember him don't you, tore up his contract in 1982, not because he wanted to, because he was pressured into doing it, there were threats against players and their families, then Trevor went bankrupt. This is part of what sickens me, all that money on a vanity project, and yet I've searched the internet and can't find anything about 1982 Ltd doing anything to make sure that the people who made that sacrifice back then are OK. We even had to organise the testimonial for Peter Aitken, that was at the same time as you lot were spending fifty million pounds on your ground. You bring shame on our great City. Not a single redeeming feature, horrible club, nasty support base, as evidenced by your arrogance. I'm glad there's a gap, it means I don't have to worry about your lot creating mayhem once a year at our place. Now, back under your rock, S'hed.
