Fantastic goal from Ellis I thought-just very good all round from Rovers on that goal.

We played with such swagger after weeks of looking like a cat on hot rocks that I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Apart from a brief period after we scored, when it looked like Southend might get back into it, they didn't get a look in. We ran them ragged in the second half and Bodin was immense. Last week he looked like he would need a few games to get up to speed, but yesterday he put in the his best allround performance ever in a rovers' shirt - and the Window soon opens...

Sounds like Phil the Tan hasn't a clue in what he's doing at the moment. If it was a mistake to leave someone out of the starting line up, why did they then remain on the bench the whole game!!

Not so sure about this.
They still had enough desire to constantly elbow Ellis in the back of his head, leave a foot in on tackles, a couple of wild swipes at our players which a PL ref may have sent them off for, in the 2nd half they had a quick break at 2-0 and with the ball on the left wing I counted 7 of their players in our box waiting for a cross.
They didn't exactly give up.
Here's an idea Phil, maybe you and your No 2 should spend more time training and less time down the SunKissed Tanning Studio?

I know I'm less than qualified to comment, but their physio looked like he enjoyed a Clarkes pie one too many!?

They ran around a bit hoping their manager wouldn't notice, but they absolutely gave up trying well before the end.

I'll be having nightmares about having some kind of breakdown and deciding to paint myself orange then having 8000 people laughing at me for years!

Lots of respect for Phil Brown, he's had my second favourite managerial holiday with his Motorbike trip around America. Obviously my favourite is Nigel Pearson fighting dogs in stinging nettles in Romania.

My only fear is that Southend are really that bad. Prefer to think we made them look very poor. yes, and that's what keeps a team away from the drop zone. If there are enough 'poor' teams that come to the Mem and we beat them, that's usually enough to achieve the minimum expectation. Compare with, say, 2011, when whatever we did never seemed to work and no 'poor' teams could be put away - Torquay anyone?
