promises that have culminated in the spectacular investment of a new club shop. I wouldn't get too excited, I can see this being a portacabin in the car park. Why not a Pirate Megastore so they can sale all my Rovers books I have written ! Lots have always said before that the Club shop needs to be outside the ground because on matchdays you have to access it via the Drubuild. Makes perfect economic sense.

What's this, I thought you didn't like people having their names disclosed on forums? Available at all good books shops in 2018 and most boot sales in 2019? (It's a joke, please don't threaten to beat me up again) Going back to the shop, yes, you are right, of course it needs to be accessible on match days, we've all known this for 20 years, it's whether it gets built properly that I'm worried about.

Give Wael a break he is trying his best...overreaction he has already spent £12m what more can we honestly expect ...we have our own stadium a great manager and Bodin a million pound player 12 million harry? Let's see about that. 6 million in directors loans which we owed to previous board now still a debt but to Dwane Sports. 2.7 million to wonga which was allegedly paid off but is now still a debt to Dwane sports 1 million to buy some grass which we will enjoy watching grow but on the books as a debt to Dwane sporto so far that is 8.7 million the club owed before the take over that we still owe and a field that is better suited to livestock than football at present Before the take over we owed about 8.5 million now it's closer to 12 and the home shrewdly bought by the late GD is now at risk because it is being used as collateral to cover the debts. I don't see any money being spent on players that which was spent in the summer was more than covered by the Taylor transfer and the Chelsea fixture The charge is kind of irrelevant though isnt it. Dwane own everything and are pretty much owed everything. They dont need a charge to sell everytbing if they want to get their money back

Likeable Wael who hasn't spoken for 3 months, confused manager, Chairman being accused of being disingenous, demoralised support base... nothing to worry about here.
If it's good enough for Radio Bristol, it might be that Gulf News, Jordan Times and Amman times might wish to know wider context and a support base who have quickly fallen out of love with certain members of ALQ family.
I agree that Wael's interview effectively insulted our intelligence. They know that we want some firm plans about Plan B, but offered us shop and toilets.
We embraced them because of their wealth and commitment to invest in us. All they have done is swap one debt for another.

Please go onto YouTube for the extended Wael interview from August 2017.
He talks about having access to experts in stadium construction who would come together to draw up plans and launch a project for Men re-development. A new modern stadium he describes as a must.
No mention of these experts, plans yesterday.
All we heard was that it takes a long time.
You either have to have absolute faith in him or he is disguising the truth.
What he says at end of extended interview has been missed. On rumours, he says that a dispute does not mean no funding.
So there has been a family tiff probably resulting in mid July when the papers were on Hani's desk to sign and he didn't. This tallies with Hamer saying that he instructed the owners to break the UWE news as they were the ones who made the decision. This tallies with UWE's surprise. This co-incides with start of supplier payments issue. This starts DC's disquiet.
Mugs deserve a say....as we are such fantastic supporters.

He has been insulting our intelligence for a bit longer than that. 5.50 "we were of the understanding that we had reached agreement on the terms <with UWE> however, like I said, points were being revisited" 7.15 "plan b, we always had a fall back plan and that's looking into the regeneration of the Memorial Stadium. We have a beautiful piece of land - spacious" 8.00 <we would have to reapply for PP at the Mem> "however even in the UWE situation we would have had to go back to planning" 9.00 "we have the best people, with the best experience on our side who have not built 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 stadiums. They've built 12.......they will be looking and exploring how we can regenerate the Mem. 11.04 "yes it's a 120 year lease, yes it's a long time, however we would have been a nomad club. 14.20 "the training ground, we are still waiting for planning permission to go through, once that goes through we will start working on the training ground" 15.15 "in business, I mean, if there is a dispute it does not mean that, you know, there is no funding it could be any other thing......the issue about funding is just a rumour. 15.48 "timescale is that very soon we will reconvene and try to create a stucture for this project <Mem> to function on its own."

Pitch yesterday not good and cut up badly.Speculation there must be a drainage problem. If you watch the 'Highlights',you'll see it doesn't look brilliant. This from the other Forum. ------The pitch doesn’t look great but I have seen us play on worse at the Mem. It needs another good sorting out at the end of the season. The pitch is the same for both teams playing on it on that given day. It doesn’t help us play attractive football but we can still grind out results on it. The pitch was cutting up, certainly at the Blackthorn End, it looked like the pitch had been rolled, cut short and was wet, but their manager was magnanimous (almost): 'The conditions were poor with it being a soft pitch with divots everywhere. At half-time I told the lads not to do backward passes to our 'keeper because the ball was bobbling.
'But that isn't an excuse for us losing because it was the same for both teams although it did make it a more difficult game than we were expecting.

The consensus of the "wake up and smell the coffee brigade" following Steve Hamer's radio session and Wael's pathetic interview yesterday is that we are being treated as mugs. I agree. Sad but true. What can we do? We can use the free press to ensure that the message gets out that all is not rosey with Smiley Waely's pipedream and that the supporters and manager feel betrayed by the promises that have culminated in the spectacular investment of a new club shop. That press outlet has to be The Gulf News and the like which impacts on the reputation of ALQs. The manager is now in open conflict and even the Chairman has been critical of the owners. Good material that will make the owner feel uncomfortable and will precipitate more investment or an acceleration of the end game. If the latter, let's get on with it. Not prepared to put up with years of stagnation whilst Wael comes up with crap like that. Not when there is planning permission for a new stadium and the greatest opportunity for investment that we have ever had. Marathon versus Sprint, it takes a long time etc. Who do they think we are? It's now or never. If Uwe is such a good deal, then why do they not want to do it? Still only seen a loads of rumours and stuff that does not even make sense. If Uwe was that good a deal for the club, they would have built it, as they could have sold us on for a profit, if that's what they wanted to do. If it's not a good deal and would lose us money, why would anyone want to build it? Why would it be such a good deal for us if someone else was in charge, but not now? I'm sure every one of you fans moaning on here have seen the terms Uwe wanted though? No you just like to guess and have a good moan.

If it was such a bad deal why were they so close to deal they thought they actually had a deal? Have you seen the terms? Where is the training ground with catagory 2 academy status that would have cost £10m they were promising? Care to defend that? These are great questions but I think you should be directing them at the owners.

Fans like to come up with other make believe reasons instead though. Easy to say it should have been built, without knowing the facts.

One of the most damning aspects of this is regarding the academy plans. Wael never missed a chance to remind us we would have a category 2 academy which is very expensive[brentford shut theirs down on cost grounds]. Now it is never mentioned and nobody interviewing him even bothers to ask. Its vanished from the clubs plans along with everything else.

No, It hasn't vanished, they're just building it in stages now. Makes perfect sense. Ask Daniel.

I didn't say it shouldn't, if good for the club it sounds have been built. Can't see any reason for it not being built though, apart from it not being good for the club. Not seen anyone give us a good reason why either. So if the family wanted out, if they wanted to sell the club then it still would have been better for them to build it, if it was a good deal. Could have made more money. Only reason that makes any sense, is that is what not a good deal for the club and wouldn't have made us a profit. They own us, so if it's better for us, it's better for them! Now we are continuing to lose money. Which they will have to pay if they stay. If they don't want to, why are they still here giving interviews??? I think Uwe was a bad deal, but now they don't know where to go from here. So yes they won't throw money at it, but will anyone??? Anyone else who takes over, will be in the same position. So unless we get someone, who can afford to throw money away, will we get any better? Atleast Wael has good contacts all over the world and has a strong belief in bringing youth players through etc. The stuff he has done in his own country is not for profit. It is to improve the standard of football in Jordan. Think we can do a lot worse than the current owners.
