It's all a bit gloomy this evening, so it's just as well that we got the win this afternoon otherwise we could be passing the strychnine round.

I wish I could post something more optimistic but this interview confirms the suspicion that all is not well with Wael.
Anyone who has ever been interviewed or made a presentation knows there are principles to follow if you want to show respect to your audience. You need to properly prepare yourself, get your story straight, get your facts straight and use the interview or presentation to get your message across strongly and sincerely. Wael knew that thousands of Rovers fans were hanging on every word he said in this interview and yet he apparently couldn't be bothered to do the work and seize the opportunity to win back the confidence of Gasheads.

Probably the most uncomfortable 9 minutes I have ever watched. Oh my sweet Mary, mother of duck. How many times did he say s**t takes time? I don't want to watch that again. After Higgs/Grotto/Conference/Wonga, the Al Qadi takeover seemed too good to be true. Oh dear.

Come on look on the brightside we have a president who has 100% brought into the ethos of Bristol Rovers. Promise big, deliver a coat of paint, 10 years of goodwill garnered.
If anyone of note is reading this think of making the club breakeven and, moderately, successful. In our league, and the Championship, takeaway TV money and clubs income is pretty much determined by attendances. So look and learn from those clubs that consistently punch above their attendances in our league I'd suggest we could learn a lot from Scunthorpe and in the Championship Barnsley and Burton. I doubt our owners are that savvy though

FFP? We don't even have that in L1 Wael. It's called SCMP. And anyway, you can't hide behind that because of this, Stop taking us for idiots Wael. SCMP is just FFP in a different form. I would guess most people understand The term financial fair play more than anything. Not one of the things i would pick holez in, in Wael's interview

Not one of the things i would pick holez in, in Wael's interview The thing is PP, if he understood it he would have used the correct name for it I would have thought. That gave me the impression that he has no idea what's actually involved in running a professional football club. Of course there were other things that raised eyebrows, like pretending that the regulations, by whatever name, were preventing funding the first team.

Well, we do t sell the mem out so that won’t bring them in, not on a regular basis. Football is a game of results, when we got promotion I saw many from Kingswood who had not been in around 15 years at least or longer. The 82 are getting a lot of business down there now. Even the Sanigars, who are gas, have the boxing under the old Dolman stand, is it still called the Dolman ? only success on the pitch will bring in more, on the football side. Meanwhile they are getting more go down to them But thatls the whole point. 9000 in the Mem feels full, like no room, we could squeeze another 1000 in but those numbers are still well below break-even and it's just not nice or comfortable for most people that don't come that often. For big matches we could easy sell close to 20,000, but there is nowhere to put them and the club loses revenue of lets say 10,000 x £20 = £200,000. (easy number used for easy maths). I don't see any way you can run a club like ours in the current stadium without incurring massive annual losses. Sorry but you are dreaming when you say easily sell 20,000. When is the last big match that you think this could have happened btw. For balance the gate V saints at Eastville with Paul Randall scoring the 2 beauties was that.

Like the flat out denial that the training ground was being scaled back but is being built in stages. The whole thing was an embarrassment and, as has been said above, I cannot believe the club allowed it to go out.

The conspiracy theorist part of me even wondered whether it was published online by the proverbially disgruntled BRFC staffer, without the permission of the President, who when he saw the playback, felt a wally, and kindly asked for the tape to be burned. Had ever I performed so on film, I would have been either be very nice or very not to the film owner until they agreed to can it.

What's the point in updating any of the current facilities if we are going to knock it all down more bulls**t from our owners and a new shop to sell our fabulous range of merchandise?? We are miles behind similar clubs in our range of kit / leasure wear and the marketing is a joke there is a good sized customer base who we should be targeting I receive emails from celtic on a weekly basis and spend a fair amount of money each year with them why aren't we doing the same it's 3 weeks before Xmas and the club shop hasn't any kit to sell there's any old saying you can polish a turd but it's still a turd well that's what our club feels like to me at the moment

GD, NH et al, kept saying not worth it, we are moving or redeveloping and The Mem has been ignored. It needs TLC in the short term whatever IMO. They might as well not spend any money had they, seeing as they want out, Hani doesnt like football and all that Jazz Where are Ed and his Chinese mates

At last more and more fans are realising how we are being taken for mugs by the ALQs. Well at least on this forum, on the other one there are still plenty of sycophants who jump down the throats of anyone who dares to criticise them. They spout unbelievable nonsense about how the ALQs never promised us anything!
Why is there this reinvention of history by so many so called fans? Wael and Hamer were full of the grand plans in the first few months after taking over. They told us that a new ground was essential, that they didn’t need the Sainsbury’s cash to build it, a new category 1 or 2 training facility would be built and in operation by the summer just gone, we would have a top 8 budget for league 1, that the landing lights were on with UWE.
None of this has happened and yet we have too many fans still (although not so many on this forum) who still think they are genuine and that none of it has happened because it’s not in the best interests of the football club!
To be fair to Hamer, he seemed as pissed off as anyone in his interview last week and when you add in DCs comments you can see that they feel that they are both being hung out to dry by owners who have no intention of doing any of the things they said they would and moreover haven’t got the courage or decency to communicate with the loyal fan base who hitherto had mainly idolised them!

I'm just an old fellow who had a revitalised interest in my football club, because I really believed that I would still be around when we moved into an impressive new stadium on the back of a renewed success over the last few years under potentially one of the best English football managers of his time. My first season ticket was a pair of complimentary stand tickets given while working voluntarily for Ron and Jan Moules alongside others like Ray Kendall. The successful period under Don Megson included. So to the interview! What a waste of space. Sorry to most of you guys, but the weakness of the piece was not IMO just the answers from Wael but the equally inept interviewing technique. Over 50 percent of the interview trawling dead in the water ground of the UWE negotiations. He should have pressed Wael hard over the matters which are the most important. The future! Where are we going. In detail!!!! Wael trotted out the same old as we have heard before. These guys who are experts in building stadiums? who are they; what have they built; where's the money coming from; when is planning up for approval; when is something going to physically happen. Well at least we learned that the leasehold was a major issue....or have I heard that before? Just two points on a personal basis. Having sat on the University Senate committee for many years and later attempted to form a company partnership with an erstwhile colleague..........one step forward, four steps back. God! That sounds familiar.

It’s absolutely feckin hilarious that so many people thought that anyone would pay the huge annual losses of a lower league football club out of the goodness of their own heart.
Newsflash - there ain’t that many Steve Lansdowns on this planet these days. Well there is one, but the board sent him packing a couple of decades ago...

Ian Holtby is not savvy enough to post a video online I think you underestimate IH. If he were not a contracted employee then he could open a Pandora’s box plus he has a lot of close gas friends who have been close for many years. No doubt in my mind he was sideways moved due to that.
