I'm struggling to see why anyone would care. As clickbait goes, that's not a good one.

First and last time I've looked at it, over 40 mins long, 38 of it probably to do with teams that are of no interest.

I didn't hear why, but it might have been while I put on a cup of tea. Lifted from the other place, another reasonable Oxford fan's view of Saturday's game: www.rageonline.co.uk/fans-view-201718-no-15-bristol-rovers-away/

Definitely click bait as the reason he avoids the Memorial Ground (sic) is down to Oxford losing 6-2 in 2001.

Was that at the Mem? I thought we beat them by that at the Manor Ground or was that a different game that's being referred to that has slipped my mind?

At the Mem, according to soccerbase. April 2001. Edit - we beat them at theirs 5-0 the previous season.

The 6-2 was when they were cheering for us because they were going down and were hoping to take Swindon with them. Swindon laughed last that season.

It was at the Mem. Pretty sure Mark Walters scored. After it I thought we would stay up! Got that wrong didn’t I? UTG!

I must have been there but I have absolutely no memory of this one. Then we managed to get relegated anyway? What a weird season that was.

I think we won 6-2 away at Brentford as well, and Lewis Hogg scored. And we still went down...
