on OS:
Sadly, the behaviour of some of our fans at the Plymouth match was rightly deemed unacceptable by the inspecting authority who attended the game.
In essence, it was felt that gangways were not kept clear and when stewards requested for fans to move they often met resistance. Obstructing gangways is dangerous because if someone trips or slips over then they could fall right down to the pitch side fence and so could injure themselves or an innocent bystander. If you fall or slip within a stand then there is the barrier to break your fall and to protect others.
Yet again a so called young supporter let off a flare in the North Terrace but at least we believe that he has been identified. Anyone bringing in flares or setting them off will be dealt with by the police which will result in a very long ban from The Mem.
As stated before I would wish to celebrate a goal by The Gas as much as everyone else, however fans must show respect for others. Jumping up and down and pushing your group around is not only dangerous but also potentially very annoying for other supporters. This must stop with immediate effect.
The Club has been required to justify its response to the above. The reduction of the capacity of the Mem and more matches being policed are very likely options. This will cost the club a lot of money and all because of a small minority of supporters who, it appears, choose not to abide by the EFL Regulations which are in place across the country.
Thank you very much and please help the safety team to resolve the above.

Before negative comments directed at the bloke delivering the message, this is sadly just a sign of the times that is all over business, whatever the industry, and sporting situations. Jumping up and down was always a great part of celebrating, luckily I'm older and don't or is it can't? The flares add a bit of colour but probably a bit daft.

Yet again a so called young supporter So was he, or wasn't he? I'd rather they got rid of the stone island, "ten German bomber" singing types than moan about access on the aisles. But we've done all this to death, no?

In the past there have been some people who push and shove their mates around in the name of 'celebrating' without consideration of those around them. Celebrating is fine, just don't be a dick in the name of doing it

We can halve the risk by just jumping up.

How so? What is the Chairman of a football club expected to do, tell the authorities to b***** off? Or should be just say “We’re BRFC we do what we want?” Were we to be punished by a cutting of capacity in the affected area or told to increase the police presence in that area it would cost us thousands of pounds. Can’t imagine anyone wants that. Yes, someone needs to grow up but pretty sure it’s not our Chairman! UTG!

Yes, you can call it a pathetic statement but you haven’t answered the problem of us perhaps facing a punishment due to e few idiots. What’s your alternative? What would you expect a Chairman of a football club who clearly has a responsibility to act, let’s say, responsibly?

It's been frankly pathetic for years... If there's people in the gangways ask them to bloody move, don't cry via the website.

Let’s give the Chairman a bit of a break, hey?
I’m sure he didn’t mean ban all fans for celebrating a goal, but there really are a group of absolute diva who have been infesting the Thatchers End for the last few years. Towards the Family Enclosure from the centre as you go in, just before you get to the old Tote Enders. It’s the same place where the flares come from, where the IRA and German Bombers s**t comes from, and where there is a lot of pushing and shoving, not just when a goal is scored.
If that lot stopped acting with a sense of very ill deserved entitlement, and learnt a few manners, the Mem would be a much nicer experience for all.

Your attitude beggars belief - except I have stood near "supporters" who share it. And they ain't kids!!!! So Hillsborough et al means nothing to you? And don't bleat on about the Mem being much smaller - someone could still get hurt & badly. And I assume a points deduction is of no consequence? Twats were pushing for trouble at Northampton, oblivious to this. You just wonder about the mentality - me me me I suppose.

When Penrice scores that was very scary.

Yes, fair enough at least it’s a suggestion of what to do but why do poor stewards have to get the crap because people think rules relate to everyone else except themselves! If people don’t take responsibility for their actions then I guess the club will.....eventually. All seems a lot if bother for a few idiots. UTG!
