is it April the first yet ?
Did Nick Day suggest this event by per chance ?
Following feedback from supporters through the suggestion box, we will be holding a pie tasting event for supporters at the Memorial to offer their opinions on items to be served on a matchday moving forward.
The event will take place in the Bristol Room at the Memorial Stadium on Tuesday 3rd October from 6:30pm.
The event is open to all supporters, however, we do ask that they register their interest by emailing catering@bristolrovers.co.uk with your full name and contact phone number by 5pm Friday 29th September.
Those that are successful will be contacted via email to confirm their space.
The tasting will be free of charge and sampling will begin at 7pm.
Feedback will be used to try to improve the pie offering in the kiosks across the ground.

Very Rovers (and not in a good way). Why is feedback on match day food not a good thing?

Very Rovers (and not in a good way). Sounds a bit like that choose or lose promotion being run by that piddling little crisp company. Forget their name though

Huh no one would be complaining if it was beer tasting!?
Nice idea for the club, there have obviously been complaints and what better way to answer them by inviting a consensus from the vocal?
Nothing wrong with market research and being pro active. The Apprentice tv show demonstrates this regularly!
You can buy expensive ones and keep stuum, but I'm guessing then you get avalanche of complaints regarding price hike?
Not for me personally as I've already eaten all the pies (!), but good luck to all concerned..

Not so sure it would be quite so tempting served out of our horrible, grotty wooden huts and all dried out though, washed down with warm flat Cola. Yes, it's another moan, but after 18 months those huts are still disgusting and the queues are still ridiculous.

At least people can do contactless pay now dont think there is anything wrong with the Pasties we currently have, just pot luck whether you get a good one or an over done one

Having eaten 4 pies at all the home games I went to, I can't say there was anything wrong with them. I wonder if WAQ would fly me back for an expert opinion from an overseas supporter.

This is the first year for many that the pasties have been anywhere near as good as the first few seasons at The Mem.
The seasoning has always been good (spot on with the peppering) but the filling became a bit of a mush. You can actually distinguish the chunks of beef again now - I've done my taste testing, and I'm happy now.
(BTW I'm not kidding either :-) )

Please Sir, I hate the culture of glorification of alcohol consumption. It's just moronic. I find it useful anaesthetic sometimes watching what's dished up in front of us, but each to their own! During the Uncle Ray and Atkins years, alcohol was the only thing that kept thousands of us from continuing to watch Rovers. The downside was seeing 44 players, 4 linesmen and 2 refs.
