Good that he tries to defend but is he not supposed to be an effective striker at the other end?
He needs to improve significantly up front

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the situation with the "beard". Not seen mention of him pre season. Ta I noted the same. Did he sign a Rovers contract before the end of the season? I recall the Lines/Clarke midfield and the beard extending their contracts before the season concluded. He played against Salisbury & Hull I believe. Signed & still with us. Presumably DC knows enough about him.

Presumably DC knows enough about him. Not quite Lionel Messi; runs out of position; but never, ever, stops running. I think I know enough about him!

According to the BBC Alefe Santos has signed a two year contract with Yeovil and on the bench tonight. I'd include the link but I'm crap at IT! UTG! Just copy the link by highlighting it and then right click the mouse or use the right button on a laptop and copy will appear. All you then do is to tap into the new post and the option to paste will appear. Don't let it put you off as it really is all very easy. Maybe even ask someone to show you, one thing that I learned much further down the road than I should have was to admit I didn't understand and to ask for help. There is no shame in it at all. I now maybe ask too much but I am lucky to have a fair few, what could be considered as erudite, around me. Thanks KP. I don't feel any shame, it's only IT!!

disagree GM, I think its widely appreciated. One of our best defenders in the air Yes, many's the time we've repelled a dangerous corner and it was Ellis doing the clearing. Maybe "not widely appreciated" was the wrong phrase to use. Perhaps I should have said Ellis' critics rarely give him credit for that aspect of his game! Better not post that on the other forum or the bullies will be after you

Quite impressed with Rovers last night. Having watched City ten days ago and (to be fair) being impressed with them too, I thought you looked quite good at times.
Bodin's a very, very good player indeed; Harrison showed flashes of some nice touches - will he score enough this season to avoid criticism? I don't know; Lines was his usual quality self and sprayed the ball about lovely.
The one I was really taken with was Broadbent. Am I right in saying he's only just become a full time pro? If so, his display last night belied that and he's a tank as the kids say. No messing with him, takes no prisoners. I'd suggest he was an old school centre half but that would be being disrespectful as that insinuates he can't play the ball out from the back. He can, and he did a lot last night.
Nice to chat with Keith Brookman last night too. I said to him you'd make the playoffs this season and I've seen nothing to change my mind. Just need someone else to score the goals if Bodin is either injured, loses form or is sold.
Good luck for the season.

Like many players there are areas of his game he could improve on, but how anyone can actually watch a game and come up with the idea he is lazy is beyond me.

I don't have a problem with his overall energy levels
However after several years his reading of the game is not where it should be imo
That said I don't agree with the over criticism from some sections in the crowd bordering on verbal abuse

Huge shame that some attend matches already prepared to abuse a particular player.
