Just reading bbc football website. Reading between the lines Mr Warnock would like to get rid. Would you have him back. Maybe on loan.

People will say yes, people will say no, no one will say "sure if the money is right for Rovers"... Apart from me.

Great memories here but inclined to say no, having watched him a few times for Cardiff he's not really the same player. Can't imagine sitting on the bench for a couple of years at Liverpool and West Brom did much good
If the wage was small and he wasn't the main man, then maybe, but neither of those things would be true!

Another view I really don't get. Rickie is an excellent coach, probably.

Rickie is an excellent coach, probably. Experienced with talent good coaching material. Just MO. ...according to BBC Rickie has retired from football: The 35-year-old ex-Southampton, Liverpool and West Brom forward has been without a club since leaving Cardiff City by mutual consent in July.
Lambert scored three goals in 11 appearances for England and came on as a substitute at the 2014 World Cup.
"I feel lucky to have been involved in this sport for as long as I have," he said.
"I have had some ups and downs in my career, but to have represented clubs like Southampton and Liverpool and playing for my country in a World Cup were beyond my wildest dreams.
"Playing and scoring for England is probably my proudest professional moment and I will look back at every aspect of how I got there with fond memories."
Lambert's career, which started at Blackpool, spanned 19 years and took in nine clubs including Macclesfield, Stockport, Rochdale and Bristol Rovers.

Super player in his prime needs some games to get match fit. Loved his strike past Basso in 2007

Pick that outOne of the best strikes of a ball I've ever seen Was lucky enough to be there that day, it was one of those odd things, there was a moment's silence as the ball hit the net, like nobody quite believed what had just happened. I think Andy Williams is still stood on the pitch looking around waiting for the ball to come down?

Rickie had a great career spanning 19 years and 9 clubs, with 3 goals in 11 games for England.
Career record is Pld 712 games and 244 goals...Rovers record Pld 128 games and 51 goals.
(Just for the record on Paul Randall - Rovers record is Pld 240 games and 94 goals.)

If I had describe Lambo in four words it would be... "Better than Paul Randall" As I don’t know how old you are, I would say that you are either late 20’s or early 30’s and so I have to ask the question. Did you ever see Paul Randall play ? I watched both and each played a different way. The thing is that both played in teams that played very differently. There is no way I could pick or even want to pick which was the better player. Punky was a bloody handful and certainly knew how to make defenders know he was there.
