Young unit ...only 19 born in Newport so must know Ellis Is that like when you're in the States, and someone hears you're English and says, 'Hey, I know a Dave who lives in Norwich, do you know him'? That made I laugh. I used to go to Chicago every other year and some of the stuff you hear is just so funny. Apparently it's foggy all the time and you can drop into Buckingham palace, enjoy a cup o tea with her Maj . Also most in London travel in horse and carriage. These were genuine comments and not made in jest. I used to love playing along. The other one was their seeming lack of any geographical knowledge of anything outside of their own country. I guess you need to hear it to believe it

Given that there three main sports are only really played in America you can see the reasons for their basic outlook on life beyond their country.

From Official website
We are pleased to announce that we have today completed the signing of Weston-super-Mare defender Rollin Menayese.
Rollin will, initially, join our U-23 squad under the guidance of Chris Hargreaves.
Chris said today; “I am delighted that Rollin is joining us for next season. He spent some time training with us towards the end of last season and I was impressed with his work ethic and willingness to learn. He will be joining us, on a full time basis, for the start of pre-season training and would like to formally welcome him to Bristol Rovers.
“He already knows some of the squad and I’m sure he will settle in quickly and I look forward to working with him again.”
The 19 year old central defender was formerly with Cardiff City and is a Welsh Youth International and is described as a player with good technical ability who is a threat in both penalty boxes.
You know, I know it's embarrassing but who used to coach our under 18's, the ex Ted is who I'm on about. I just can't remember and I can't find it on a websearch. Thanks in advance. Still don't know why he left

The other thing was the size and by that I mean height, of the guys my age then. They would ask me why I wanted to go to drink a lot of the time. I was 23 first time and guys and girls my age would still be playing frisbee and hanging out in parks. Upon reflection maybe not such a bad thing really. I was always shocked at how quickly many would be drunk and on weak beers. Having said all that, I did enjoy the way they do sport. They really go out of their way to look after the customer. I didn't think I'd enjoy baseball or basketball yet I really enjoyed both.

This is possibly the biggest signing of the year. No question. £15m at least.

Thank you. My visits will obviously continue to be sporadic given we have yet another year where we are in a higher division. So the rivalry will continue League-wise with Cardiff City.
If you make it past the 1st two rounds of the Cup this time who knows for a game eh?
Anyway, as I said good signing. 👍

OK he wasn't signed from a club that play's abroad , some clubs seem to think that's the way forward even if they are a total flop ! I prefer a player that can at least speak the native language that's the best starting point don't you think.

What a truly sad individual you are, imagine as a Gashead being in Cornwall, and then getting that sudden thought, I must respond to an under 23 signing that the other Bristol club have made, it's incredibly pathetic beyond compare really. I cannot think of such a sad mind set than yours, have you not cottoned on to the fact that you need professional help?
