I think it looks good....away from the structured all the same style lower league approach.

Remember when Boycie said in one of the forums he was going to update the site only to be told by Kirsty there was another two years to run on the contract - finger on pulse or what?
Looks like we're playing Portugal on Jul 19, wonder if Ronaldo will play.
Overall it's mostly good, part of the evolution!

Part of an EFL deal I understand - so our EFL L1/2/C pals will have similar I guess!

I've no objection to the change in the look and feel of the new site, but I'm a little concerned about the change in content.
If you click on Matches > Results, you used to be able to get match reports. Now, you just get a succession of tweets. Or a link to the i-follow clip. (Which you can watch if you are a subscriber!).
Courtesy of the GasMacc1 debugging service:
If you click on Matches > Results, and choose a previous season from the drop-down list (say, 2015-16), and "All Competitions", you only see four matches: the four cup games we played that season. It appears that the EFL designer hasn't allowed for the fact that a club might have changed divisions between seasons: you can choose "League One" as an option for 2015-16, but not League Two. Rovers didn't play any matches in League One in 2015-16.

I was just think of e-mailing the above constructive feedback to the club, but I notice that the website appears not to advertise any way of contacting BRFC! (At least not prominently).
On the old site, there used to be a "Contact Us" link on the Home page - common practice, I would have thought?

There's a direct link to SkyBet, though!

Grateful if you could share how you found the contact details. I've looked again, and can't find them in a prominent position.
Anyway, I contacted the club using a previous e-mail address, and got a very prompt and appreciative reply.
The problem I described with the non-availability of previous match details is, apparently, a bug in the EFL template, which the EFL are dealing with after Rovers contacted them to explain the issue.

Aha! I think I've found it! If you select the seventh option on the home page (enticingly labelled "More"), you get a few options: "Shop" / "Commercial" / "Club" / "Business Finder".
If you then choose the third of those options, "Club", you get three more options: "Club" (again), "Academy" and "Community Trust".
If you then click on "Club", you get a banner picture with the title "Explore The Club's History". If you scroll down through "The Facts", "Previous Managers", "A Brief History", "The al-Qadi Takeover" and "Important Dates", you reach "Club Contacts and Company Details", just above "Equality Policies".
And there, finally, you get the contact details!

Select the 'More' drop down then select 'Club'. Click Club again and it takes you to a new page. Scroll down and you'll find a link called 'Club Contacts & Company Details' Click this and it expands to provide what looks like a pretty comprehensive set of contact details for various people at the club.

Thanks, I think we are in agreement on how to find the details.
But my point is really about their prominence.
Again I contrast the ability to access Skybet via a single click from the Bristol Rovers home page, with the need to drill down three nested levels of options, under the top-level option which is called "More", to get at some key details for the club I'm primarily interested in.
Anyone would think that the EFL template was more driven by the need to facilitate gambling via Skybet than practical support for the clubs.

I like it a lot better than the previous one that was just utterly, utterly horrible.
Whoever signed the last mass deal for websites should have been fired on the spot - they crippled the main communication outlet of all football league clubs for 5 years. The best websites I've seen were from clubs who didn't have to sign up to that atrocious pile of cack because they were in the Conference at the time. They actually had website that made sense where you could find things - it was like a dream come true.....
I'm sure this is all money in bank etc but I can't help thinking clubs would be better off having their own bespoke websites that would allow them to develop some individuality which is what football is ultimately based on.
