...there are several permutations, but it is likely that Millwall could miss out on a play off spot, and then, what should be a celebration of a solid season for Rovers overall, things may turn nasty. Millwall fans will be a little miffed if they end up 7th, and take things out on the Mem/us, even if they are not as naughty as they used to be. Our numpties will then come out to play and instead of a few celebratory end of season beers on Gloucester Road there could be fun and games.

Life's too short to worry about stuff like this. A&S will know all this, the Met will follow their mob, and hopefully any incidents will be contained.
'At least' we won't be profiting at their expense, so the chance of major aggro must be diminished.

It's not a worry, realised some time not to worry about something that is going to happen, it's just that I would like to have a peaceful enjoyable day - A&S were very impressive when we had the other lot at the Mem.

I am very worried, I could die in a gas leak this week before the game, maybe a heart attack even or something like that. If I make it to next Sunday there's a good chance I could be run over, or choke on a beer or pizza or just a fly going into my mouth. Maybe I could be stung by a wasp and go into anaphylactic shock and die? Christ, and I've not even factored in Millwall.

If you understand what that is or means, you'll know bigger gaps have been bridged.

I would personally delight in denying them the playoffs with a home win to cap off an excellent season. If there's any trouble afterwards it certainly won't be caused by us, we're the only one of the 4 teams in Bristol that weekend (Gas, 82ers, Millwall, Birmingham) with nothing to be upset about, whatever the outcome.

Teds not home to Birmingham until the following weekend.

There is always problems with City and Millwall fans hope the good name of BRFC is not tarnished. Hope they all respect the minutes silence for Chewbacca after he is chased to his death by a massive swarm of bees down Gloucester Road two hours before kick off !

They only got given 1,200 tickets and I'm not even sure they got past the season ticket holders before sold out.
Can't remember any problems between Rovers and Millwall before. There was even one game at home to Millwall, back at Eastville in the 80s, where they gave out tickets to local school kids for the open away end.
If Millwall claim 6th spot then fair play to them - they will have deserved it.

Can't remember any problems between Rovers and Millwall before. apart from the ones which were filmed and featured in a major BBC documentary broadcast in the middle of the evening on about the most prestigious programme of its time....I agree with you

Sad thing is, it's still mostly the same people who like to act up.

The Mickey Barrett game, we were 2-1 down and MB scored 2 to win 3-2....and all the trouble afterwards, Millwall were in our stand wearing blue of course..started throwing almost every seat they could get their hands on....the underlined comment was a joke...yeah..??

It depends how long your memory is doesn't it. There's been no trouble with Millwall in recent experience (20+ years).

They have got a live beamback at their ground that might stop any of them travelling without a ticket or buying any of the tickets still left in the rovers sections.

I don't remember the game though. Guessing it was mid '70s.

I'm sure there was a home match v millwall, circa 1983/84 where a fire was started in away end. Only small, but they were a bit boisterous!
