According to the club website: Connor Jones, Lewis Ellington, Luke Russe, Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist and Sam Blake. Do we know anything about these lads? Blake and Leigh-Gilchrist seem to be popular among the staff, since they missed a good chunk of the season due to injury but still got pro deals. I'm hoping someone's been watching the youth games or something and can tell me, because all I know about these boys is from Football Manager 2017 (which isn't always right, despite being admittedly used by big clubs as a scouting tool) and lemme tell you, their potential in there? Not good at all. Read more at www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/2016-17/five-upgraded-to-the-pro-ranks-3684899.aspx#BZ7DYsfSCECqm0hJ.99

I remember a certain Scott Sinclair, nobody at the club rated him,he came through the ranks and barely got a game at first team level,he now scores for fun at Celtic being their second top scorer with 20 goals this season, let's hope hope none of these slip through the same net!

He was rated extremely highly by the club. However it was clear that he was going to leave the club either to join his brother at Southampton (If they avoided relegation) or Chelsea who had been chasing him. The only reason he was played in the first team- at the age of 15- was to help negotiate a better fee at tribunal. I will be seeing him play at Hampden on Sunday where hopefully he will be adding to his tally

He only became the clubs youngest ever player before leaving for Chelsea a couple months later. Pretty sure everyone rated him! I played against him a few weeks before he made his Rovers debut at U18 level (he was 15). He came on for Odd Down with about 30 mins left, 0-0. He scored 3 and we lost 3-0!

I recommended Scott Sinclair to Rovers Roy Dolling when he played aged 6 against my Deerswood Under 8s for Bath Arsenal. He was taken on and it was Geoff Dunford who knew of the Chelsea interest when Sinclair was 15 to tell Manager Ian Atkins to play him in the first team so Club would get good compensation something like £500k rising to £1m if he made so many Premier appearances and played for England U21s.
New pro Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist is the brother of Danny Rose (not the Spurs one) but the former Man Utd youth captain who has played for Oxford Utd, Newport County, Fleetwood, Aldershot (loan) Northampton and currently Portsmouth. He was on trial at Rovers and went on tour to Scotland when Trolls was manager offered a deal but Club withdrew it when budget was exceeded.
