Coventry are owned by sisu a hedge fund company they never attend any matches including possibly Wembley it would seem the only reason they bought Coventry is for money laundering purposes and to promote their esteem to investors. Defamation?

I'm out of the country until 23rd so I emailed the club to ask if I can pay on the day and had a reply telling me that it is an ALL Ticket match although the recent press releases don't indicate that. Yes, I noticed it mentioned in the next up section of the programme yesterday that it is all ticket for Rovers fans. I don't recall seeing that on any of the social media updates. Hmmm - I'm taking a special detour on the route home from a holiday 'Oop North' to attend this game so if it's all ticket and doesn't make general sale then it's the home areas for me ... not ideal but when crazy limitations are made to suppress demand when there's no need to it needs desperate measures! :-)

I dont understand. Does this mean we will or wont be allocated more tickets?

The club has just put out on Twitter that they have contacted Coventry to request more tickets and that they will let us know when they know.

A quick trawl through Coventry's match reports shows these away followings at the Ricoh this season: Northampton | 27th August 2016 | 1608 | MK Dons | 26th November 2016 | 772 | Sheffield Utd | 15th December 2016 | 1193 | Bolton | 2nd January 2017 | 1751 | Millwall | 4th February 2017 | 1031 | Swindon | 25th February 2017 | 853 | Bradford | 11th March 2017 | 1329 |

Prior to Bolton's game at Coventry at the New Year, the Trotters' website carried the advice: "Details now available for fans wishing to purchase tickets on the day of the game at the Ricoh Arena. Wanderers supporters will be able to pay on the day at Ricoh Arena as the Whites travel to Coventry City for their first outing of 2017".
Whereas Northampton's game at the Ricoh (like ours, it seems) was declared all-ticket. "We have been allocated 1,960 tickets for this game" said the Cobblers' website.

Can BSS or someone at the club confirm the 1800 allocation from Coventry is not the final amount we are requesting? I have heard rumours that the police have set a restriction ,if true this will only lead to the inevitable invasion of the Rovers fans into the home parts of the ground. I would expect there to be a demand for over 3000 and hope that the club are pulling out all the stops to get the allocation increased.
UTG Coventry Gas invasion Day For really selfish reason hoping this would be called off for international call ups as it was the one game I really would have hated to miss have worked in coventry a couple of times and have made a good few friends up there unfortunately myself and about sixty others including many of the old tote end veterans are off to Malaga for the infamous "Aggie smiths " 60 th birthday sad to miss this but I'm sure we will have a couple of drinks to celebrate another gas away victory 🍺🍺☠️☠️ Utg Have a cracking time Dave. I've been feeling a lot better since my operation & wish I was up to it. I can't see this going on without incident 💀 I want photos and video. I think Coyney said he was going

Shocking away attendances in that post most of the those teams would normally take 3-4 times that amount the owners sisu really are strangling the life out of the club the Ricoh capacity is 32,609 the owners are basically turning away money as I said in a previous post sisu are not in this for the money be very careful who you sell your club to U.T.G.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, and I'm not having a pop, but why are you so obsessed with followings and attendances? I'm genuinely interested.

We've not really learned anything new than on Saturday night though! One rubbish update came from BRSC. On Sunday they put out on social media that tickets would be on sale to Priority Two on Monday, when the club had announced the day before that there were none until they applied for more! They still haven't updated it: bristolroverssc.co.uk/2017/03/12/ccfc-priority-two-1303/

Not obsessed with away attendances just making the point that the teams mentioned would normally take a lot more away which seems to suggest Coventry are somehow limiting the amount of away supporters.

The only team which appears to have been held back re: their allocation is Millwall. I would be surprised if we were limited in some way, I'm expecting in the region of 2k more tickets to come and go for us.

Thank you. However, I've subsequently discovered it is on the Bristol Rovers Supporters Club account, rather than the Bristol Rovers official twitter, as per other posts above. It was a retweet of the "Bristol Rovers Supporters Liaison Officer" account tweet, and then BRSC followed that up a retweet of the "Bristol Rovers - Bristol Post" account article about Phil Brown. Anyway! I see that someone tweeted the "Bristol Rovers Supporters Liaison Officer" this morning, asking if they had any news, and they said "not yet should know tomorrow."
